Last week, two years into Bronco production, order holders received an email stating supply chain issues were causing delays.
The Backstory
Difficulties surrounding parts have surfaced several times since launch for Bronco, from the Molded-in-Color hard top to the heavy chip constraint. In the past, order holders have been advised to remove the tow package and consider switching engines to get vehicles faster, and most recently, asked to think about changing trims and dropping Sasquatch and Lux –– all in Ford's attempt to have order holders receive their Broncos while under price protection.
So, when this email surfaced, Bronco Nation reached out to Bronco Brand Manager Matt Winter to see if Ford recommended order holders to make any changes.
Quality is Job 1
However, according to the motor company, there are no new constrained commodities to be concerned about. The email was part of Ford’s planned communication with order holders as it produces Broncos that are ready to be shipped.
“Quality is a top priority for Ford,” says Winter. “We continue to do everything we can to deliver the highest quality products to our customers and are holding vehicles for shipment until those standards are met.”
