Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

The price, after discount, on the Ford Performance Zeon Kit... I can sell my RC winch and the FP winch mount with bracketry and get about half of that price back.

I didn't need to swap, and I tried to talk myself out of it, but that price was just to good to pass on. About a year ago or so, that FP Warn kit sold for $3,500.. I got it for $875 after the discount and using a little bit of points..
Yeah, that's too tempting to pass for sure. With your ever evolving upgrades I should move East, the Raqball depot of slightly used Bronco parts would save me a fortune. Lol.

Valid argument, sir. If mine does fail, I’ll get Matt’s Off-road Recovery to bail me out, get a free tee shirt, and then upgrade my steering rack. 😝

Glad you got it replaced without dropping the cash.. Yeah, Safelite is a joke.

She legit, and with a straight face, told me that a rear backup camera was the reason that it needs to be programmed due to Federal law.. πŸ˜‚

I asked about signing a waiver for the programming and she said they could not do that either because it's also against Federal law.. πŸ˜‚

I seriously wonder how many people they successfully run this scam on...

The only ADAS I have is front collision and that can just be turned off in the Broncos setting menu.. Like I said, I'd get it and understand if I had lane keeping, adaptive cruise etc, but I don't..

On top of all that, Safelite wanted $495 for programming where the other place only charges $150 and will let me sign a waiver to avoid that service..
SMH. Wag of the finger to safelite. If that's so important then I I guess the Feds should step in to make Ford expeditiously address all the back up camera recalls. Lol.

Cleaner will always do it for me. I guess you just have to ask how much good the safari bar will do if you hit a deer. Less is more in most cases, in my opinion. You don’t want to have too much hanging off the front end. Think β€œSquiddy” from the Matrix.

Safelite is full of crap. I had to get my wife’s Escape glass fixed. Same lux package. Cost nothing, the calibration set itself. They took it for a ten minute drive and that was it.
That explains it. It's to cover the gas. πŸ˜†

I didn't use safelite. πŸ™ƒ I'm not sure if/what the cost was for the calibration but they did say they had to calibrate it. May be a common scam. Probably learned it from the dealerships.

There's probably an upcharge for the premium blinker fluid refill. πŸ˜†

Yeah, I've replaced 1 motor so far less than a year later the same side wouldn't deploy. I figured it was the motor again so I replaced it plus the control box. Didn't fix it. Looked into it further and I couldn't get power to steps. I called them and they figured it was a bad wiring harness. They sent me the harness free but I do not look forward to replacing that harness. It's not the easiest of jobs.

Also, since I live in the rust belt, the bolts to drop the entire step were rusty so I ended up with some broken bolts plus a few broken welded nuts on the braces. Not too happy with the setup right now but when they are working, they make getting in the Bronco so much easier especially since I have a 2" lift.

Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and changed out the wiring harness. After 6 long hours in the heat and humidity, it is done and all the steps work. I will say that will be the last time I ever replace that harness because the next time it goes bad, everything will go in the dumpster. What a miserable job. So relieved it worked and that job is done!
I can now focus on the upcoming trip to Colorado!
Thought about purchasing a new GoPro but rumors are the new 14 will be much better than the 13. I'll go ahead and wait.😁

Did the helpers assist with getting those rear shock bolts to 350 ft lbs? 😜

Yeah the hardest part was holding the nut on the back side while I torqued it down. With a cat giving me cuddles.

Originally those nuts had a no spin tab on them. A some point in 2022 they switched to the no tab. A true pain in the arse. I purchased a bag of six from one of the online Ford dealerships. When the rear shocks get installed I am gonna give a set to the tech to install.

Here is the part number for the tabbed nuts that Tim sent me. So much easier!
