Check Your Order: 23MY Sasquatch Package Glitch

If you have already worked with your dealer to convert your 22MY order to 23MY, double-check your order. Several forum users have reported finding Sasquatch package removed, without their direction.

The Backstory

WBDO (web-based dealer ordering) is the system dealers use to input orders. From September 8-18, the system was closed so Ford could complete model year order conversions from 22MY to 23MY.

On Thursday, September 21, WBDO re-opened and Build & Price updated. Existing order holders could begin working with their dealers to confirm or update their order.

One Bronco Nation user, @The Bronc, prepped with his dealer the night before and sent in a scan of his license for the customer order verification program (COVP), along with his 22MY dealer order receipt acknowledgement (DORA) and Ford order confirmation email.

The dealer warned him the order may not be converted the next day due to high traffic in WBDO, but by Friday, @The Bronc received a 23MY order confirmation email from Ford. It showed the Sasquatch package as missing, a change he didn’t want to make.

“I emailed the Bronco specialist Friday evening about the error,” he writes in the forums. “I asked about coming in to get a new copy of the DORA for MY23. I received a response Saturday morning about WBDO dropping Sasquatch packages (software glitch) and that he forgot to go back and add it in. He asked me to come to the dealership to sign the new DORA.

“I am glad I asked for a copy of the new DORA. The specialist had added the Sasquatch package but failed to add the tow package. I did not want any changes to my order. It was very helpful to have my 22MY year DORA to compare to the newly printed MY23 DORA.”

Moving Forward – Don’t Panic, Just Be Prepared

On Bronco6G, several in the community have also reported having the Sasquatch package vanish from their order page. Like @The Bronc, order holders who asked their dealer to re-add it got the package back.

The number of people who experienced this error and caught it seems to be small. However, it’s always a best practice to look over your WBDO printout and DORA like @The Bronc did. If you’ve already confirmed your order for 23MY without looking closely at your printout, consider his advice:

“Avoid a surprise and disappointment and be sure to ask for your new MY23 DORA and look over it well to be sure it is correct.”

2023 Scheduling

Production scheduling for 2023 begins soon (Ford says early October officially; online chatter says Oct. 6). Those of you who have already confirmed or updated your 23MY orders and are eligible for scheduling may want to take this as a reminder: Make sure you're confident with your order. Once an order is pulled for production and assigned a VIN, changes cannot be made.

Did you see a printout of your order? Talk about it in this forum thread.
