When I was a kid, my dad had a Buick stationwagon. On the way to the family house in Maine for the weekends I would be in the way back with the dog, rolling around! When I played Pop Warner football, the coaches would take us to the away games and we would sit in the back of their pick up trucks. Try doing that today!😆

I got some of my worse sunburns riding in the back of my Dad’s ‘72 F100 on the way to Grandma’s house.

I’ll never forget the time my dad took out his belt on my brother, he must have thought Dad was joking or something, because with every hit my brother would be laughing, and would laugh harder with every hit, and the more my brother would laugh the faster and harder our Dad would swing….
Finally, Dad looks at Mom and says, “what am I supposed to do, he keeps laughing” and at this point Mom and Dad started laughing a little bit too…
We still bring it up every now and again!!!
I started thinking that maybe the pain was all in our heads……
The next time I got the belt……NOPE….
It wasn’t, it hurt….🤣🤣🤣

Another time at the house in Maine. The family was having dinner on the sun porch and my brother asked for a meatball. So, I picked up a meatball and threw it into his plate. My grandfather didn't appreciate it. He was sitting next to my brother and I was at the end of the table. My grandfather whacks my brother in the head. My brother says, "Why did you hit me?" My grandfather says, "Because I couldn't reach your brother!"😆

I was a bit mischievous as a kid and a hellion, too. My mother told me that when I was about 3 years old, I woke up on a weekend and wanted to make my parents tea. I didn't know how the stove worked, but I knew how the tub worked! I filled the tub with hot water and dumped all the tea bags in. I made tea! I woke them up and told them that I made tea for them. My mom was all concerned and ran over to the stove. Then I took them to the tub. They both started laughing. No punishment. They just told me not to make tea anymore.😆

Happy Wednesday, Kids!
Fog and Grey this morning in the PNW, which is kind of the status quo from January-April… upside is it makes for a very green and lush environment once the sun does show itself… weather peeps are suggesting 70’s later this week, which may cause a big mess down low… thinking today snow followed by sun would be preferred…

Anyway, halfway to the weekend, and off to pick up the F150 after some warranty work that turned out to be a software issue that won’t be resolved until Ford does an update…. Ugh!

Thanks for the coffee and donuts, @Sven , I think I’ll take the chair back the corner so no one will see me nod off.

I HATED running staff meetings…. By the end of my career I was doing almost everything by email and small group work… staff meetings became short stand-up meetings that never ran more than 10-15 minutes… and I learned to quit using PowerPoint..

Snow is good!

We have weather coming in and iit's staying for a few days. We might get 4 - 6" of snow by Sunday.
I don't want it. But I agree with you, worth it if it stops wild fires. And the fishes.
