Many of times riding in the back seat of a 65 fairlane…. The brakes were locked up by pops and across the seat i would go….. ended up on the dash once or twice….

This could be fun…Dad sayings. When I first started driving we had a ‘76 4-door Ford Granada, half vinyl top (I hear you laughing) with a 302 in it. We lived in the country, wide open roads, and when it was just me and my dad going someplace he’d always say, “Drive the piss out of it boy, just keep her between the ditches!” 🤣

I had to read this twice but I thought it was good advice from father to son no matter how it sounded… 🤣🤣🤣

I had extremely long hair in high school. My dad would tell me weekly to go to the barber shop and get an estimate! My brother and I wanted to play hockey. There was no way he was going to drive us to practice at 0dark30, or pay for all the equipment we needed. No hockey for you!😆

When I came home from basic training, that's all I wanted to do was to go for a ride in my car. I had a 1978 Monte Carlo, it had nice lines to it. I had a nice Blaupunkt stereo in it. Not a bad car. I got in my car and just started to get used to it again, and I looked up at my headliner? It looked like a popcorn ceiling. I went to touch it with my index finger and I poked a hole through it. I got out of the car and went back in the house and asked my father if he painted my headliner? He said that he did, it was discolored so he painted it. Then asked if I liked it! I said, "No, why would anyone do that? Now, I have a hole in my headliner!" Shortly after that, I traded it in for my 1980 Z-28.

When I was a kid, my dad had a Buick stationwagon. On the way to the family house in Maine for the weekends I would be in the way back with the dog, rolling around! When I played Pop Warner football, the coaches would take us to the away games and we would sit in the back of their pick up trucks. Try doing that today!😆
