Why did you choose your model of bronco?

I knew from the begging what I wanted and would never take any less. I wanted a 2 door stick shift. Yes that was all I wanted when I considered my build. This was two years ago when my friend told me they were going to bring the bronco back. We spent the time up to the release date thinking of what it would actually looked like. I knew as soon as I could choose a model which model I would chose. The Black Diamond model was the name l like due to I like snow sking. I still wanted the stick but then I found out you could only have it in the 4 Banger. I was okay still hated that I could not get the 6 but still wanted that stick so back. When I went to actually build Or practice build my bronco I found out what things I was loosing with keeeping my stick. So what all that said I eventually chose the black diamond with the mid package automatic with the aluminium wheels. I chose this because if had the seats I wanted, the flooring I wanted, the bumpers, rock rails, and bash plate. This bronco will be my skinig partner we will have loads of adventures. So I was wonderin what was the reason everyone chose their bonrco. Look forword to being educated on the options and fine point I may have missed. My bronco is ordered and in about 10 days Ford will close out orderin6 and I will start to get really excited!!!!!!

I reserved a Badlands, 4 door in Area 51, but after a lot of research and input from Family, I changed my order to the Wildtrack, Lux Package, Tow Package, Heavy duty front bumper(for future options), side rails, in Cactus Gray. I also changed dealers midstream, just couldn't get a response from the locally assigned dealer and Ford helped out with a better option, couldn't be more please with their response.

That’s strait up fact.
I posted somewhere the other day that “every build is important”
Our kids and grandkids will find these
trailer babies ,barn finds, all original one owners, family hand me downs.
IMO we are all buying classics.
@14U your are spot on. I went with the FE build as it has everything...I like customizing but honestly, this being the comeback model, I wanted it fully loaded factory spec...and YES, newer generations will appreciate these Broncos.

I went with a:
4dr WildTrak
High Package
Tow Package
Area 51 color.

I was debating between the WT and the Badlands and after the 2 price build I decided on the Wildtrak because I didn't need washout floors and leather in AZ with no roof means burnt but cheeks. As far as the WildTrak not having the Hydraulic Stabilizer disconnect I don't see it as a down side because if I know I'm going to be rock crawling I don't mind manually un pinning before entering the area. I'd stop to air down anyways so no loss there.

At least that's my thought process haha.

I had the same experience with the dealer I had originally chosen. Ford customer service was great at changing my reservation fairly easily.

I too also chose the Wildtrak but in Area51. Grats on the order!

I also wish I still had my first car...a Buick Regal :) Sportcoupe. That 3.8 turbo was fun!
Yours was much better @JPOPS5 . I had the sleepy grandma version - tan paint with the brown landau top, and this weird brown felt-like interior. I'm not sure what it had, but it was no 3.8 turbo . I did drift it once on a late night up in Lake Tahoe.

Ha! I wish I could get my Black Diamond in grey over silver two-tone...;)

I really appreciate everyone sharing their builds with me. I have really enjoyed reading everyone’s build. These Broncos will be and are a part of who we are. I hope they keep coming.

I have really enjoyed ready through this thread and hearing all of your stories. Like most here the past several months have been challenging for many reasons and the new Bronco just happens to be one of them. To be honest I was very surprised at the number of trim levels that Ford has developed, and that has made this process seem all the more difficult and enjoyable at the same time. My original build was a BD, 4DR, MID package with 2.7L Auto in A51. I love the steelies but I could not shake the desire for the technology offered with the 360 camera and 12 inch screen so I then considered the OBX and upgrading the lockers, tires and changing the fender flares etc. but that got way too intense. Then I did a slight cost comparison and realized I was right at a Badlands which ticked almost all of my boxes, so here is my build as ordered and I am know that it is the best for me. Thanks and enjoy your Bronco!

I went with a 4 door FE.
I have been waiting for the Bronco to come back for a very long time.
Do I need a FE? No, not really. I would have been just fine with a Badlands. I just like the idea of having a limited run vehicle. One that is numbered and something I know that will be rare.
The Bronco will just be an extra vehicle as I have a new truck and my wife has a new suv.
I’ve had many Wranglers as toys and I’m ready to switch it up a little.

My build:

LB 4 Door First Edition
Black Interior
Prob will have a few accessories bolted on soon after I get it.. lol

I'm an old guy ready to retire and wanted something both my wife and I could enjoy. I'm not going to be doing a lot of
off road in it, so I went for creature comfort.
Wildtrak
carbonized gray
leather
lux
tow package
The first thing I will do is replace the front and back bumpers but I don't care for the ford ones. just saw ARB ones
and they look great.

Badlands: 2DR , Sasquatch, Lux. Gonna be the wives daily driver. Gonna get a after market bumper winch set up when they become available.

Plan on hitting it hard, thinking about the best way to get the : solar shower, ice chest , chainsaw (fuel and oil),
winch riggin (slings, blocks shackles), shovel, high lift jack, CO2 tank, tool box, first aid kit, Camping supplies(to much to list), big boy ax,
Satellite phone, couple overnight bags, my dog Chubby.
Looks like I might need a roof rack.

I've ordered the 4 door Wildtrak Lux in Carbonized Gray with MIC top. I wanted the 6 cylinder and the space in the 4 door. I've had both the 2 door and 4 door wranglers in the past and the 4 door is a better everyday ride (hope this trend continues with the Bronco). I'll be using the Bronco as the daily driver as long as we keep working remotely! And for towing a small center console.

The real question here should have been: “How many times did you change your mind on models before you finally made a decision and why did you chose?”
After a ton of deliberation, I went with a Wildtrack. Now with all the Mic top stuff and getting pushed back to MY22 to get my Painted top, I may explore newly available MY22 options and change models again.

CGBronco hit the nail on the head! My deal-breaker item was the 7-speed manual, but I liked the Sasquatch components - esp wheels, tires, and suspension setup. but after several rounds of trying to spec the Sasquatch, or the Big Bend, the 7-speed disappeared as an option no matter what we tried. So Base it is - and there will be some after-market projects. BTW, the Sasquatch package is meant for the Base, but can anyone think of a technical reason the wheels and tires wouldn't work with theh 7-speed? Would love that combo, but wondering if that is part of the reason the 7-speed wasn't offered with that package?

I always make practical decisions as the four door would’ve been but I just felt like the 2 door looked way better in my opinion.
I chose the marine vinyl which gave the manual seats which I’m totally cool with but could see how people would have issues with that. Not having power seats.

They are offering the sasquatch with the manual for the 2022 models. I don't think they thought many would go for it so just didn't have everything in place to offer it in time for 2021.

I built about everyone twice, but hated the way the build was set up, went with outerbanks part time with rear locker 4dr, heavy duty bumper roof racks,MIC top, auxiliary switches, cyber orange, would like to have done black diamond but no signature lights, no option for door and top storage just for tops.i didnt like that changing a wheel throws you into a sasquatch package, or 1 item throws you into a luxury package. The most ours will see some back trails in the hills of Indiana and snow.lol

I like basic for customizing. First vehicle was '76 short wheelbase Econoline, barebones, customized into full camper style of the era (3 speed). Also had a '93 Explorer Sport (2 door, 5 speed). So it is 2 door Base, 7 speed for me (with modular bumper and roof rack). White to show off the black trim.
Base 2-door, 2.3L, 7 spd, MIC Top, Oxford White, Roof Rails, Modular Bumper, Headliner, Floor Liners, Aux Switches
