Why did you choose your model of bronco?

I knew from the begging what I wanted and would never take any less. I wanted a 2 door stick shift. Yes that was all I wanted when I considered my build. This was two years ago when my friend told me they were going to bring the bronco back. We spent the time up to the release date thinking of what it would actually looked like. I knew as soon as I could choose a model which model I would chose. The Black Diamond model was the name l like due to I like snow sking. I still wanted the stick but then I found out you could only have it in the 4 Banger. I was okay still hated that I could not get the 6 but still wanted that stick so back. When I went to actually build Or practice build my bronco I found out what things I was loosing with keeeping my stick. So what all that said I eventually chose the black diamond with the mid package automatic with the aluminium wheels. I chose this because if had the seats I wanted, the flooring I wanted, the bumpers, rock rails, and bash plate. This bronco will be my skinig partner we will have loads of adventures. So I was wonderin what was the reason everyone chose their bonrco. Look forword to being educated on the options and fine point I may have missed. My bronco is ordered and in about 10 days Ford will close out orderin6 and I will start to get really excited!!!!!!

I asked my dealer about that. They stated that they didn’t know if that was possible.

Mine said they had done it before with orders otherwise he said they would remove it before I saw it and wouldn't know it was there. Assuming on the last part he meant their dealer junk

Being old enough to have had a version of the original when I heard they were coming back (and i'm not getting any younger) now was the time to order totally NEW from dealer. Being near water most of my life the choice was for sure the OUTER BANKS version with an option of 2 DOORS as I am NOT a fan of 4 doors on anything.......... Color is Antimatter Blue with Protection Film, Sound Deadening (now standard), Tube Step and Roof Rails. Inside got cloth seats with Navy Pier and ALL the options available as I got the LUX pkg. The larger 2.7 engine with the adv 4x4 and rear locking differential. Accessories I picked were the Rock Rails, Tube Doors, Soft Canvas Top, and the Off-Road recovery kit.......now just the waiting game as to when it will arrive...........

This is a great post! Nice going everyone who has posted. Great to read all these "dream come true" bronco builds.

My very first car was a 66 mustang coupe. 289 auto. Loved it and so wish I kept it. Traded it in after college for a... Buick Regal. ☹️ So sad. This Ford will stay in the family forever.

My Bronco:
Badlands 2dr - to enjoy the trails all around Arizona and have the rock rails, 33s, lockers, sway bar disconnect & overall 4x4 cajones, small lift, and short wheelbase to not worry too much about challenges of all the awesome moderate trails out there. Almost empty nest so always alone in my car nowadays. Don't need the extra doors or seats.

Area 51 - the girls in my life like that most

Manual transmission - more connected to the road and driving experience, and the granny gear for rock crawling and technical ascending.

Modular top - to get really open air experience without taking off the whole cap. LOVE the idea of being able to roll down front windows, remove back windows, front roof panels, and turrit panel on the cap.

Bimini top - for real open air wheeling on weekends

Mid package - for the backup camera cuz I backed into my mother in law's car one time without one

Winch package and trail recovery kit - to rescue my son in his Jeep when we go out wheeling together. Boom, that just happened.

Tow PKG - to throw the MTN bikes on

Pod lights - because... pod lights.

Can't wait!!!

On one hand, I'm a Designer/Project Manager (PM) by trade. Concepts made into reality, problems I get to solve, specs I'm held to, requirements that need to be met, timeline constraints, scope creep, etc. In a way, I feel like Ford made me a PM for my Model selection - trying to weed out what's best for my use through all the constraints, figure out how to work around any compromises with future upgrades, stay within a budget range, deal with all the deadlines and delays, as well as Ford's own scope creep. On the other hand, my heart and gut play heavily on decisions where "toys" are concerned. So in July my heart reserved a 2dr. Badlands with intended specs of 2.3L, 7MT, MGV and High Package - and the color that grabbed me immediately from the early videos was Cyber Orange.

Between reservation time in July, until order time in January - my brain frantically tried to talk my heart into several other variations that may have made more sense, or been a more responsible build, or even a "safer" color. I even laid out all this beautiful info in the form of spreadsheets, photochops and comparisons in CAD, not to mention sifting through all the data from two popular websites. Hell, at times my brain even tried to talk me out of ordering altogether! I live in NJ for cripes sake! The only rocks are the ones that get kicked up from driving too close to the truck in front of me, and the highest elevations are a joke, with barely any legal places to off-road. The only time I'll need to disengage the sway bar is if I purposely drive over some parking blocks, or tire climb some guy's Jeep for a picture

At the end of my 6 month "project", it was finally time to order. My heart basically laughed at the waste of time my brain spent, and I ordered a Cyber Orange 2dr. Badlands with 2.3L, 7MT, MGV and High Package - exactly what I reserved. So long way of answering the question: Why did I chose my model of Bronco? Because the heart wants what the heart wants, and this thing is going to be BADASS! Now while we all wait for our Broncos, my brain gets to figure out fun places in neighboring states to really flex this thing, to take me out of my comfort zone.
You need to drive your brain and your heart out here to AZ my friend! You and your bronco need to cross the painted desert, pass thru monument valley, hit some of our good trails in Tonto National Forrest, and take a little hike down Bright Angel trail into the grand canyon. You'll love it!

Hello fellow Jersian!

My brain had talked me into the BB or BD w/ mid pkg but no 7mt was a deal breaker. So...

We have the same build except for color...(AMB) Mine will be a frequent visitor to the beach in Brigantine.

Hi Wendy! I mostly visit OC since I was a kid, but I should branch out my beaches, too! It would be cool to get a permit and drive on the beach - I've never done it.

Edit: BTW, I think the yellow accents are gonna look badass with the AMB! I almost went VB for the contrast on mine, but I already have a really cool Blue in my stable.

Maybe you’re talking about the reverse sensors, but you don’t need the Mid package for rear view camera. It’s standard equipment.

Auto...remote start. I live where winter is 7 months, also every Gen 1 Bronco I have owned got an auto.
Badlands from the start was an easy choice. Color was hardest.

When the Updated Bronco was announced, I honestly would have bought any Bronco. But then all the choices arrived with the Build & Price tool. Ultimately, the 12" screen caught my eye and therefore narrowed which model(s) I could order. I also didn't want 35" tires because of my concern for highway driving, which is required to get TO the trails but still wanted something off road capable.
Bottom line....Badlands with 33" tires and high package. No regrets, no looking back.

Wildtrack. Simply because it’s the only model that comes with 2.7 and Sasquatch stock. The motor and Sasquatch are a deal breaker for me. I had to have them. I have a feeling that the more options you add to your lower model, the longer Ford will push back your build. I had originally ordered a Badlands with motor and Sasquatch but that would have made me a rare case because so many are sticking with the stock Badlands suspension. Keeping your build simple might be the key to seeing your bronco sooner.

My build:
4 dr Big Bend, cactus gray
Soft top
2.7 10 spd
4.27 rear locker
Aux switches

I mentioned this on the Big Bend thread, but for me it was between the Base and the Big Bend. The ability to get the Mid package-the outlet and remote start in particular-and upgraded wheels and tires (so I can replace them after wear instead of right away) were my deciding factors, plus the ability to get rear locker and a wider variety of colors.

Cool!! Went to OCHS. Brigantine beaches are great... not overcrowded like OC. Thinking about a beach permit next year- I've never done beach or off road driving.

I was between the two blues for the same reason... AMB won out... I love it!
I'll keep an eye out for your CO. :geek:

CO should be easy to spot! Damn, I always thought Brigantine was so much further away, but it's nearly the same mileage depending on route. Looks like about 60 miles to either beach, from home. I gotta get out more

I came to the same conclusion and when I optioned the Badlands it came in higher that than my Wildtrack. The delivery times will be interesting and while I want it sooner rather than later I also want it right.
