Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

@Unicorn i am curious as to how much trimming you had to do to the DV8 rear differential skid to make it fit the FP differential cover?

I followed someone elses picture... I laid the skid on cardboard and marked it out and cut to match... then marked and cut additional (on the cardboard) until it fit on the cover.... transferred the new cuts back to the skid and then cut away... It was not all that much... Made most of the "cuts" with an angle grinder.Modified Diff Cover what to cut.jpg

Thatโ€™s the perfect marriage of aftermarket goodies. Bravo!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. Itโ€™s fun.

Put my little Honda generator back into service.. I've had it about 4 years but it's only been used 2 or 3 times. Now that I have a camper, I've been meaning to get it back up and running. It's been about 2+ years since it last ran but before putting it into storage, I changed the oil and ran it out of fuel. I even drained all the fuel from the fuel lines and carb..

Today I decided to spend the time putting it back in service so I can use it on my camping and off road trips. I changed the oil again, probably not needed but I did it anyways, and pulled the carb out to check its state. The carb and bowl looked super clean so I slapped a new spark plug in and back in to service it went..

Had to pull a few times to start it since all the fuel had been drained from the lines and the carb but after a few tugs, it fired right up... Wiped the exterior down and hit it with a magic eraser to get a few small scuffs out of the body...

It's now ready for emergency service on my next off road and camping trip here in a few weeks..

My little baby sized generator looks brand spanking new and still runs like a champ! It only puts out 1000 watts but that's enough to charge up my camper batteries and my Dometic Battery Pack that I use to keep my car fridge running..

I have solar and will mainly use it but it's nice to have an emergency power backup, especially since I plan on taking longer trips..

I bought it years ago as an emergency use option for a sump pump after an extended power outage. I went to Lowes, Home Depot, everywhere looking for the cheap generators but they were all sold out and shelves were empty as people had snarfed them all up.

This was the last generator standing at the last Home Depot I went to, so I grabbed it as fast as I could before some little old lady could sneak up behind me, club me with her walking cane, and snarf it.. ๐Ÿ˜‚

It was madness with generators back then and people were legit fighting each other over them.. LOL

Honda's have a good rep so I guess I am glad I bought it as opposed to a cheap one but dang that price tag hurt, and it hurt bad! For as small as it is, and the amount of power it puts out, the price was redonkulous...

But I can't really complain. It's 4-years old, has been sitting for over 2 years and it fired right up and runs like a champ so that's a win!

Well since you went through that much to get it, sure is nice to find a good use for it now! As Bob Ross would say, happy little accidents....๐Ÿ˜

I thought about selling it before my move several months ago but figured nobody was going to buy it because you can get brand spanking new generators now that put out 2500 watts, can run on either propane or gas, for half the price of what I paid for mine. I figured I would have to sell it so cheaply that it was just better to keep it. I'm glad I kept it as I now have a use for it.. ๐Ÿ‘

On Saturday, at Motor City Bronco Fest, @Stonekoldk read my mind on something I wanted done and added Sport Mode to my Badlands. He also did an ACM software update to enable the JBL soundbar, something he's done on his Black Diamond that he found a difference in, even without having the soundbar.

I've had a ton of fun with Sport Mode in the last two days, and I think I like it best in 2H instead of 4A. Now I'm curious what Sport Mode is like in a tuned vehicle ... I paid off my Bronco last month, and I always said once I did then I would start buying parts and modding, so hold me accountable ๐Ÿ˜…

I don't know if I want to have to check for people paying obeisance under my Bronco every time I go to drive off ... I love @Unicorn's build and the knowledge and effort that went into doing it right though!

I still want to figure out a way to bring my kayak along with Bronco trips (I've been using my Comanche for that). I like taking the panels off so I don't want a roof rack that makes it too difficult. Some interior organization for my camping stuff โ€“โ€“ an attic rack or cargo molle panels, etc., and I'd like to have chase lights and maybe something for the front. Then I'll be pretty well set up for Michigan adventures.
