Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

You want your pan hard or track bar as parallel to the ground as possible to minimize and balance your lateral axle movement upon suspension movement. My bar was far from parallel and I needed an adjustable one to center my axle on the body after the relocation bracket was installed. I never checked the centering of the axle before I started, but I like i said, I wanted my bar as parallel as possible. Did you know Ford uses the same bar for ALL Bronco models except maybe the Raptor?

I needed an adjustable bar on my Mustang for the same reason except it was lowered, even though it was indeed offset from the factory. Thinking they all are. A must for maximizing wheels and tires on my Boss.

Good point. Looks like about a 4 inch drop across there. I knew it was not horizontal at stock but for some reason I did not remember it being quite so much. Even with the relocation bracket I am not quite horizontal but I am much closer than that..... and that is with a 2.5 inch suspension lift. I have an adjustable length bar but the reason I am using it is for the johnny joints at the ends as opposed to the stock polys.... I actually can feel the rear is a little looser, as in it has a little less resistance to flexing.

@Unicorn i am curious as to how much trimming you had to do to the DV8 rear differential skid to make it fit the FP differential cover?

I added more "utility" to my sport utility, courtesy of some Molle panels from DV8 Offroad.

The more I can fasten to the walls, the more floor space I can use to haul camping gear. I installed roof, console, door pocket, and rear window Molle panels. I'm very happy with the design and build quality of the DV8 components. They're bound to maximize my storage capacity.

Went through an automatic car wash for the first time since owning it. Didn’t want to take a chance with damaging the soft top but with the new hard top, game on. Plus, took my co-pilot Leon along for his first adventure in an automatic car wash….. he’s addicted to the changing colors and instant water falls..

Looking good Chris! Form and function!

Thanks, Tim. I love everything DV8 offers. The skid plates I got from them are incredibly durable off- AND on-road. 😉

The Molle panels are made of beefy stock. I'm sure I added some weight to my Bronco, but it's worth it. If anyone is interested in installing any of these items, I will be glad to offer some tips. There were some challenging moments.

Next up: a DV8 deep cargo storage well, which replaces the shallow well under the trunk floor. It's a project in itself, as you have to drop the muffler to complete the operation. The good news is that it more than doubles storage capacity!

I installed my DV8 Off-Road Storage Compartment. It essentially doubles your subfloor cargo capacity. It is made of steel, and brother let me tell you it is BEEFY. It certainly adds a bit of weight. I'm going to store a few bulk items there, freeing up the floor area and keeping things neat up top. Tow straps, come-alongs, bungee cords, all have a home now.

IMG_0119.jpegIMG_0121.jpegIMG_0123.jpegIMG_0132.jpegIMG_0138.jpegIMG_0146.jpegIMG_0158.jpegIMG_0170.jpeg

I had to drop the muffler to gain access underneath. Once that was done, the installation went swiftly. Gone are the tin heat shield and the flimsy plastic cargo compartment liner. I don't know why Ford engineers hadn't maximized the storage capacity as much as they could have. Perhaps weight savings?

Chris,
I guess there is no concern about the transfer of heat from the muffler to the items inside the box?

The new cargo container comes with its own heat shield, so things should be fine in there. 😉

Entirely too much time on my hands this weekend so I used the Specialy Performance Parts kit to upgrade all my AUX wiring in the engine bay and interior. Thank you John @ SPV for the answers and videos!
