WAIT... hold up a second.... popcorn with sea salt and rosemary is... uhhh... an actual thing people eat?

Oh my gosh, it's an actual thing.

I mean.... I guess I shouldn't knock it until I try it. But also, what the heck?? It's an abomination. 😲

It's "artisanal" popcorn.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Ford Paying Customers to Change Orders – An Offer You Should Seriously Consider Taking

Thank you to all those in the community –– @Garemlin @RagnarKon @alyd09 and more –– who reported what they knew and were hearing early on in threads and DMs, plus all those –– @JoergH @TK1215 @BuckYeah @Nminus1 and plenty of others –– who have done their best to encourage decision making one way or the other.

Related threads:

Additionally, if you need more reading or watching to make choices, Bronco6g, Town & Country's Mitch Watts, @All Terrain Nation (video), and Tim Bartz shared leaks, information, and commentary as well.

Thanks for the shout-out, @Laura. I'm more than happy to share what I know based on personal experience. @RagnarKon deserves a TON of credit, though because he not only speaks from experience, but shares carefully curated material provided by reliable sources. Not to inflame, but inform the general public. So, kudos. And I've really come to enjoy Mitchell Watts and Tim Bartz' YouTube videos, not to mention Jorge Lopez at Tom Ball Ford. They're all Ford royalty in my opinion, with the sole objective of educating, and in some cases, entertaining those in the Broncoverse.

Definitely want to echo what @Laura and @BuckYeah said regarding those in the community that tried to find out the correct info and get it bubbled to the top. Especially want to thank the dealer employees… @MitchellWatts , @alyd09 , Tim Bartz (@fordvideoguy on B6G), and others who are willing to stick their neck out a little bit and share information and help those beyond their own customer base. I know Ford can get a little iffy when it comes to what information can and can’t be shared sometimes, and often that line is a little fuzzy.

In many cases people have been waiting 2+ years for this vehicle, and we’ve gotten to a point where we are dealing with thousands of dollars in price protection and incentives. People just want to know the correct information and the complete story so they can make an educated decision, and unfortunately sometimes they can’t get that from their own dealer.

Food for thought...

You do not get a Bronco you reserved in 2020, and ordered in early 2021, and you deide to wait, and not settle, and then yoy don't get it in MY23.. So then, the order banks are deleted before MY24.
Why do you think you have a chance to get back in line and receive it in MY24?
How can anyone have that much faith in this system that has been this flawed since Nov of 2020...
This is not for an argument, but is the reality...

I'm taking their money and running... then putting in new order for MY24, hoping I get it by MY25.

If you gamble and stay the course, it could be UPTO 23 MONTHS from now, before you see a Bronco that could be built Q3 of 2024. With yearly and mid cycle prices increases very very possible.

It got pushed back just like the Bronco.

This one was on us. Ford has a lot on their plate, obviously; we both wanted it to happen -- it was just a matter of timing.

The customer email has begun going out -- watch your inbox.

Official text from Ford... in case for some reason you missed the email.

Dear Bronco Customer,

Although we are doing everything we can to continue manufacturing Ford Bronco® SUVs exactly as ordered, global supply chain shortages and unprecedented demand have impacted our ability to produce your Bronco.

To give your Bronco the best chance at being produced in the 2023 model year, contact your dealer and update your order to a buildable configuration as soon as possible. Please note that taking no action puts you at risk of not receiving your Bronco.

To thank you for your patience, you will be eligible for the 23MY Bronco Order Modification Private Offer Program. You will receive $2,500 toward the purchase or lease of your Bronco if:

  • Your order is a Wildtrak series and you change to a Big Bend, Outer Banks, or Badlands series without a Molded-In Color Hardtop, Sasquatch Package, or Lux Package
  • Your order has any of these options—Molded-In Color Hardtop, Sasquatch Package, or Lux Package—and you remove all of them from your current vehicle order

Alternatively, you can also receive the $2,500 incentive (exclusions apply**) if you cancel your Bronco order and purchase or lease an in-stock 2022/2023 Ford or order a 2023 Ford vehicle for purchase or lease.

You also have the option to cancel your order and have your deposit refunded.

You have until March 7th to change your order and be eligible for the 23MY Bronco Order Modification Private Offer Program. However, the sooner you make the change, the better chance you will have for it to be scheduled in 2023.

What Happens if You Don’t Take One of These Actions?

If you take no action and leave your order as is, and your Bronco cannot be delivered as a 2023 model year, your order will be canceled. You will then need to place a 2024 model year order at the 2024 model year pricing.

For additional information and details, visit our FAQs.

We appreciate your business and patience and will continue to do everything we can to get you behind the wheel of your new Bronco.

Of course they found one more way to screw me. I ended up purchasing the Badlands last night (will post more on that later...the weather has been lousy, cold, and windy the past couple of days). Sure would have been nice to have that extra $2500 to put toward the downpayment. But it's a '21. I also just realized that since I purchased used, I don't think I qualify for Bronco Off Roadeo.

Wait...I guess I can still go based on my existing order since the "walk away" offer didn't apply to me.

Congrats on your Badlands -- looking forward to hearing more. But there's a chance for Off-Roadeo. I have a used Bronco and mine was eligible because it's tied to the VIN. Contact Bronco Off-Roadeo Program Headquarters at (888) 260-5744 or email them at [email protected].

This feels like a bad idea.

There are very angry people out there, and this world of ours has gotten ever crazier over these last 4 or so years.

Remember the old "Easy Button"? I hope that Laura, et al., have a "Ban Button" that's easy to use too.

I agree that people are frustrated, tired, angry, and straight-up confused. And while I do think people should be decent to other people, this community was created by enthusiasts: We love Broncos and we love people enjoying Broncos, so we understand the strong feelings behind trying to get one. So many people just want to be heard. Order holders aren't numbers; you're people with a backstory who want a vehicle.

I do not disagree. I just think about the crazy that the world seems to have revved up over the past little bit. I mean people:
- Dox and threaten high school students for performance in sports, i.e., like go to their homes and threaten
- Similarly, college athletes, politicians, journalists, and corporate employees have all experienced the same in news stories over the last few years

I feel assured you all will make sure it stays civil and help curate the content in a positive direction, but it only takes the one individual to ruin it for everyone. And I think there sure seem to be a lot more of those individuals lately.

Maybe, I'm just ultra-sensitive in that I work for a large manufacturer of consumer products. I know Brand Managers. My wife used to be a Brand Manager (we're old, so she's much higher in the consumer products organization for which she works now than just a BM). I wouldn't want the ones I know to experience the amplified emotions that our world (at least reportedly) produces these days.

I had to jump in my virtual Bronco and head over to this Thread because I could smell popcorn (A weakness of mine) all the way over at the Libations Thread, I know I don’t get out much but that popcorn smell is driving me crazy….
You can pass some of those peanuts too!
