Northwest Bronco

Jan 10, 2022

I was lucky enough to have an early reservation holder back out of his purchase. It happened to be my exact spec, so I purchased it from Newberg Ford in Oregon with no mark up. Thank you Casey! I've noticed nothing wrong with the vehicle. I've enjoyed every aspect of it. The tires do collect rocks. These will be replaced. I plan on turning this into an overland vehicle.

Follow along as I continue the build!

Hello everyone!

I re made almost all the product reviews on my Youtube channel with better sound. People seemed to like the reviews, but couldn't hear what I was saying. So I got a little mic and that improved the sound quality.

I still have to re do some more, but I got the most popular ones done. Now hopefully everyone can hear my voice better :)

There's been a lot of questions regarding the ZROADZ roof rack and removing the hardtop panels with it installed. I thought no, but a representative reached out to me and said you you can. I went out and gave it another shot. As it turns out, yes you can!

Thats just the front two though not the middle correct??

I just went out and tried removing the middle row. I could not get it off. BUT I'll let ZROADZ confirm if that's correct. I can confirm the two front panels come off easily.

I was thinkng the same thing. A take on / off mount that I can slide the winch into if needed. Love the idea.
This may have been posted already but here is a winch/mount that does not appear to interfere with sensors/cameras.

This is a great idea. I called the company and it does not work for a 2.7L engine. Someone correct me if that's not correct.

This one is more complicated because of the relocation of sensors (and expensive) but still much less than Ford. If you relocate sensors as described (lots of disassembly/re-assembly) then all works as normal (?) and does appear to function with the 2.7 & Lux.

Finished installing the security drawer with Dometic fridge and slide. All these products are high quality and easy to install. The weight limit is only 50lbs for the top of the drawer. Trust me, this thing is heavy and will support WAY more than 50lbs. Next project will be the fold down tailgate table. This should be done today or tomorrow. More to come!

I had a subscriber ask if a bronco would fit in his garage. To simplify things, I just make a short video for him. Thought I'd share it here in case someone else needed the measurements as well.

I eyeballed the other big rigs in the building garage- if the FJ with the top tube rack can fit, the moose will get its antlers in...... stilllllll waiting. Landmark ford in tigard, 11/15/21

Good to hear, the Bronco is not as tall as people think. It's compact and fits well in a garage, even with the sasquatch package and rack.

I used Newberg Ford and got lucky. A customer who happened to have almost my exact spec didn't pick up their Bronco. So Casey (my sales rep) called me and asked if I wanted it. No mark up. It was like Christmas and I picked it up the next day. Otherwise I'd still be in line. Thank you Casey!

Hope you get your Bronco soon!

Took the front panels off and rolled down the windows for the first time. Went for a drive. The roof rack I have only allows the front row to come off. Here's what I found:

Even with just the front row off, you still get the complete open air experience. The people in the back will get some of that experience.

Now I know why the HVAC unit is so strong in the Bronco. Once the top comes off, it's nice to crank up that heater for your legs. AC for the hot days. It's makes a difference.

Besides hearing everything outside, the noise is low. I will now keep the muffler stock. Once the top comes off, I don't want a loud muffler. I like to listen to music and the wind blowing.

Speaking of wind, it's nothing major, typical for a roof off.

All in all, I LOVE having the roof off and windows down. Even with only the front row, while driving you do get the full roof off experience.

Great job Ford!

I went out and played with tire pressures to improve the on road ride of the Bronco. Hears what I came up with. Enjoy!

Well played @B MIller - I have a Squatched 4 door Badlands as well run 36 PSI all around and it provides a significantly better ride than the 39 PSI recommended tire inflation.
