Northwest Bronco

Jan 10, 2022

I was lucky enough to have an early reservation holder back out of his purchase. It happened to be my exact spec, so I purchased it from Newberg Ford in Oregon with no mark up. Thank you Casey! I've noticed nothing wrong with the vehicle. I've enjoyed every aspect of it. The tires do collect rocks. These will be replaced. I plan on turning this into an overland vehicle.

I have the High package on my outer banks. I haven’t not seen any post where they were able to move the camera and still have the winch. But, are you saying that ford will do this if I use their winch system?

The camera isn't the issue. It's the adaptive cruise control sensor in models that have it. It needs to be relocated before the dealership will install the winch. There's a kit to accomplish this. I'll post a link here: Adaptive Cruise Control relocation Kit My dealership will not move the sensor. But, if I do it myself, I can bring the Bronco back and they will install the winch. Makes sense I guess.

I've ordered this kit, I'll post some photos and my thoughts after it's installed. Then we will see exactly where the sensor is relocated.

Looks amazing. I'm jealous that you were able to get the hard top, as I'm a day 2 reservation holder, had to switch to a soft top to move up the timeline, and am waiting on delivery still now.

You've got some great recovery gear (particularly interested in that snatch block). Would you mind sharing where you got some of your gear?

I hope you keep posting pics. Good stuff!

Thank you sir. I'm a very lucky indeed. All my recovery gear is from GearAmerica. They make solid products and post videos on their YouTube channel for tips and tricks on usage. I appriciate that about the company. Here's a link: GearAmerica

Here's a new product you may be interested in as well (y)

The fridge is plugged directly to the 12V rear cargo area plug. That 12V plug will remain powered for one hour after the ignition is shut off. Since the fridge holds it's temp for approx six hours after losing power, it's good for every day use. The other option is to simply turn on the ignition and shut it off. That will give you an additional hour of power each time you do that.

If camping with food in the fridge, I use the dometic power supply. When the Bronco is running it runs off the Bronco and charges the power supply. If the Bronco is off, the fridge runs off the power supply. Here's a link to that power supply: Dometic Power Supply

All cords are included to make this system work. The power supply also charges phones ect.

THANKS!!! I was wondering if the 12 volt plug would work. Looks good!!

Maybe I am being too critical here, but I find it interesting that Ford's own winch system is the most incompatible with the ACC and the front camera. It is also one of the most expensive options to boot. Thankfully the aftermarket seems to be stepping up quickly to fill the gap.

Wait, I've read in other places on here that the winch blocks, or at least partially blocks, the front camera. Is that no longer the case?

Thanks...I have the leather option as well on a Bandland, MIC, high, NOSAS, customer 33" wheels with the A/T tire. I watched a few videos that show the clicking noise in the roof.
I have ZERO clicking or any other noises coming from the mic top on my bronco. It was built the week of 12/2.

I would definitely say the wind isn't an issue blocking anything really with the Bronco  :p;)

I believe that it is the winch control box that blocks the front trail camera. It can be relocated using a kit

I’m not sure just relocating the control box would completely solve the problem. Check out this picture, if you imagine the control box gone, the winch will still block about 1/3 of the picture.

The winch does still block the camera view. That has not been resolved. :(

Learned a lesson and had to change things a bit. The Dometic slide out drawer rattled over every bump in the road. There's no way I could handle this off road for hours. I removed the drawer and added a rubber floor to the top of the box. The rubber is double sided taped down. The fridge is secure even with only one strap on each end of the fridge. Drove around town and the rattle is gone.

Now I can take the fridge out for the dogs or cargo. (y)

Please let me know when a company has a solution. Not too critical, it’s driving me crazy that I have to rely on a come along.

Nice build B Miller, really clean! Those slide outs for the fridge seem like a nice option but have always been concerned about it rattling, thanks for the input on that. Are you still happy with everything else, no other rattles?
