Hey everybody! Happy Friday!
3 more days of the challenge at work. Been getting on my bike since last Friday night. You can select an activity and put in how many minutes you did it and it converts it to minutes. We are all tired and strapped for time. Working out an hour or more a day eats up free time. Bronco is filthy, I need groceries and I'm exhausted! Lol, yeah, need cheese & crackers to go with my whine.
Have a good day! Have fun! Hug the ones you love!

“Wait a minute, you’re saying that you are peddling this bike, and not just giving a twist of the throttle to make it go”?
This kind of Shenanigan is not for me then.
This almost sounds like something they call,
”exercise.”
I always have an allergic reaction to exercise, and against my doctors advice to do this, I just can’t take the chance….
We have a bunch of exercise
equipment downstairs.
The spiders in my basement get more exercise on our equipment then I do!!!

I told my doctor one day when he asked me how much exercise I get in a week, I told him that “I’m allergic to my own sweat, therefore I don’t exercise.”
After he was done laughing he said, “I have never heard of that one before.” 🤣🤣🤣

What is up, fam? Been quite busy this year. Seems like cash is flying out my windows every time I turn around. 🤣 I know, I know, call a waaaaambulance!
So get this: I’ve had the Bronco thump for two years, maybe more. For those who may not know, when I come to a stop at a red light, I get a slight thump and then when I let off the brake to go, thump again. Last July, Ford ordered me a new rear drive shaft. Took til January to come in. Finally installed 4 weeks ago because they didn’t have a loaner and I wasn’t going to be without a ride for days. Anywho…the thump came back in about two weeks. From my research, I found the ACTUAL fix is to pull the shaft and lube the splines with Teflon grease. Anyone else have this “thump” I speak of? I’m gonna have Ford just pull the shaft and lube with the teflon grease and see if this doesn’t solve this, once and for all. Super frustrating. I’d just do it myself, but Ford doesn’t sell the proper clamps to reclamp the boot back on. 🙄
They F you at the drive thru!!!

Howdy from sunny Arizona. Loving the warmer weather, some people are already complaining it's hot! I guess they won't like it when the temperature starts with two 1's instead of "10".

After Nashville trip someone told me, you know alcohol is slowly killing you. I said that's okay, I'm not in a hurry.

Good Saturday Evening, Kids!
It’s been a minute since I’ve been online as we get settled into the new reality of having an adult son living with us… Lots of doctor’s appointments and such, and yet we managed to squeeze in a cruise to Cabo a couple weeks ago. In the last week I’ve had two other sons here (along with dan, who now lives with us) along with wives and grands, so needless to say its been kind of busy in Gold Bar… Tonight its just the three of us, and it feels weirdly quiet…

Saw the unveiling of the Filson trim, and really like the looks of it, but would have a hard time choosing between it and the Stroppe. The 3.0L might be fun, but I have to admit I enjoy all the power I need with my 2.7L in OB-1… Also saw someone make a point about $75K vehicles not ever making their way off-road, and I can see the point…

Still on track to make a trip to Sturgis in September, but it will depend on getting some help here at home…

Saw this on my FB feed a few days ago and saved it, if you gave last year in @Sven ‘s name please consider doing so again to Montana Veteran’s Meat Locker.

Have an amazing weekend!

Oh yeah, the Filson Edition Bronco is a sight to behold. I’ll bet the person who can afford one won’t care whether it is taken off road or not. They’ll just buy it for the extra power and styling. And to stand apart from the herd.

I enjoyed witnessing the reveal first hand, and I’ve gotta tell you, it’s a beauty. 😍

I'm just not sure about that color. I would have to see it in person. Do pictures do justice or is it much better in person?

It's pretty remarkable in person, trust me. It has a luster that captures light beautifully. It reminds me a lot of the bronze color of my 1970 Dodge Charger 500. Incredible in sunlight! 😍

Equally impressive, but more subdued than the Iron Sands Copper Metallic is the Field Green Metallic, which is a medium green, or sage color. It looks like it's camouflaged in the woods. I would have included photos of that, but I kept hearing the word "embargo," so I refrained from taking photos of it. We all saw that one of those parked down by the water before the official unveiling. It wasn't until later that I learned the embargo discouraged us from sharing photos of either of the vehicles prior to its press release. The embargo itself was lifted at 6pm that day.

If I didn't have a Bronco, I would certainly consider this model. Even though it's a four door... and you know how much I love my two door Bronco! Apart from the obvious performance enhancements, all of the interior appointments are thoughtfully and purposefully executed. Rumor has it that a Filson edition Bronco is going to be previewed in 23 cities prior to the official production cycle.

The metallic flake looks pretty incredible with a camera, I can’t imagine how much better it would be to see it in person!!!
The person in the last photo most definitely loves that color, their phone case is the same color!

Chris, I thought the same thing about the color matching the old Charger color. Kinda a bronze/copper color

🤣

I have the "thump". I have 2 unopened letters from Ford. 4 open recalls. And, Ford recommends that I don't drive 2 out of the 3 vehicles I own because of the upper control arm (or whatever).
But then people with Jeeps from 2020 to 2023 are being told not to park them in the garage.

Good Wednesday Morning, Kids!
It’s going to be a beautiful day here on the left coast, with blue skies and temps all the way up to -25°!
Sitting in Starbucks this morning catching up on some reading and email and “stuff” while son Dan dialyzes.. this has become our three day a week ritual… 1) up at the B&&t crack of dawn, 40 minute drive, four hours of putzing, and then back home to get some putzing done there. This time of year its pretty awesome as the length of days is loooong, but I’m not too excited about this schedule come November and December when it will be dark mornings until 8:00ish…

Celebrated another year yesterday, and now entering year seventy… When you’re young you don’t think much about getting old, and when you begin approaching “oldness” you start wondering where all the time went…

After storing my RSE Step Sliders in my garage for 18 months we decided with my new hinges (knees) NOT to install them, and it seems I have found someone who wants them… win-win! Someone gets a great deal on new steps, and I get a fair-sized clinch of my garage back.

The weather is good enough that the top of OB-1 came off yesterday, with no current plan to put it back on till fall. I sure like the looks of him when he is topless!

Have a great day, all, and share grace wherever you go!

Happy B-Day. I hope it's a great year. I have had the top off Lt Lager for a few weeks now. It does look much better. Its nice that I have the Maverick to daily drive. Unfortunately, it has rained almost every weekend since the top was removed. We did make a run to town last Saturday. I am hoping for better weather this weekend. We have a little car show at the Marina and I would like to show up Top-less.
