And I suppose those who went on would get more strenuous training. I was fresh out of Parris Island and Camp Geiger, and wasn't impressed with what I saw there. One guy was a reservist, who said he only wanted it for the beret. Phshaw!

My son is an 0402: A USMC logistics officer O-3 (now Reserves) Couldn't be more proud of him. As a 1st Lieutenant, he took an MEF (Marine Expeditionary Force/Reserves/2500+ men & women) (billeted for a major or higher) from a readiness score in the mid-60s to a 96. He's gone from active to reserves, now does the same basic work as a civilian with the USAF. They love him: he knows the logistical codes for both the Marines and the Air Force!

Howdy from sunny Arizona. Looks like the 3 digit temperatures have finally got here. This time they may stay. Thank God, I'm tired of wearing winter clothes. But it is far more reserved than Oktoberfest in Munich.

To celebrate I am going to Nashville. the CMA is going on there. Consume More Alcohol. You need to be carful there. The music and atmosphere is awesome, but we always get over served. But it is far more reserved than Oktoberfest in Munich.

Good morning and Happy Friday! My employer started a 2 week challenge on Monday and I am a bit competitive. 1,400+ people are participating, 250 teams. 15,000 or more steps each day. My legs hurt and I am exhausted! But my team has been in 1st, 2nd or 3rd each day. The east coast teams take over by the time we get off work, then we pull in the lead before bedtime.

Good Sunday Morning! I led a trail ride yesterday. 1st time in 13 years. Had 14 vehicles total.
IIm trying to learn OnX. It does show on the infotainment screen, but my phone doesn't stay on with the app running. And the trail I wanted to do isn't really on OnX. So, yes, I got lost. We did several turn around. But the area we were in is very sandy and the water erosion in that area was very interesting. Very deep cuts. We went through a very deep Arroyo twice. But off the edge of trail, it went a lot deeper.
I did finally find the trail as clouds were rolling in. By the time we got to the top of the mesa, the views were spectacular! The clouds make the desert colors pop. It was a fun day.
IIm doing a zoom training with OnX on the 16th. Maybe it will help me. Who knows. But I am excited to get back into leading trails.
Also, I didn't get to pre run it. And my confidence building this last year has been seeing others doing it before me. I didn't have that yesterday and I handled it very calmly.
I get to be lazy today, except I do have to exercise for that challenge at work.
