My favorite was a lady eating corn on the cob while driving. Now that's a skill. Hard to drive slow in a Shelby. People drive quick here. Not a lot of police enforcement. Big trucks and young men. Many have a boogie on. Many seem like good drivers but distracted driving and people die. Crazy stuff.

So @Roughstock11 , what does “have a boogie on” mean…? In a hurry or do they have something green and slimy on their face? Had to ask cause don’t wanna assume.

I'm off to do a cruise with the NM Ladies Bronco Club today. I consider this a "rip off the band-aid" outing. I don't know them, so this is a brave thing for me.
There might be an off-road portion, so I'm packed and prepared. Tie rods and tools loaded, no idea how to change one if it breaks. But, I still bring it.

Seems like the speed limit around here is a suggestion by the way people drive.

And to have people tail gate is crazy. Sometimes I'll drop a gear and leave the jerk (the Shelby has lots O giddy up) Then resume cruise. And here they come peddling hard.

In Boston, red lights are mere suggestions. Turn signals, not even that. If you can tailgate the car in front of you, even if he entered the intersection on the early red, you're "good to go."

Back on the job, I'd pull people over on them, and be told, "Officer, the light was yellow."
"You sure it was yellow when you entered the intersection?
"Yes, Officer. Yellow!"
"Even if you knew you couldn't clear it before the cars on the cross street started their green?"
I'd go back and write them the money ticket, "Failure to stop on yellow in a timely manner." Everybody who appealed the ticket, lost. The kicker: I'd often add "Failure to signal turn," and mark that, "warning." The court's policy was that if a person appealed the ticket and lost, anything marked "warning" would be upgraded to the insurance-surchargable fine.

Right? It literally is a rubber ducky, but sports a horse’s mane. I can attest that the whole practice is patently strange, silly, and superfluous. Still, it warmed my heart a little when I realized that someone took the time to adorn my Bronco with a complimentary trinket. I thought, “Well, that’s kinda cool.” 😎
