I listen to classical, a lot, on Sirius. Sometimes I'm in the middle of a long work, like a symphony, and I want to continue that piece when I leave the truck. So I put my earbuds in, open up Sirius, select the classical channel, and you know what happens? I starts the same piece from the very beginning!
I wouldn't mind a slight interruption in the piece I'm listening to, but all I want to do is finish that work. AAAaaaaarrrrrgh!

Good Wednesday Morning, Kids!
Thinking of @14U and @SAVEUP as some pretty miserable weather is cruising across the southern border of Oklahoma… Also, not sure who is on here who might be in harms way in LA County, but please check in when you have a chance, and please be safe! Many thanks to the firefighters and first responders working to save lives and property in an amazingly bad situation…

It is Wednesday, and it sort of is just hitting home that 2025 has begun… Lots planned for the year, including a month in Japan vacationing with Grandkids (and their parents), as well as trips to Moab and Colorado with some of you! Getting excited for the weather to improve so I can get out and get some roadwork (mostly walking) going to be ready for the gauntlet we have planned.

The sun is going to appear for the second day running for the first time in maybe a month, which will be great! Fires in Southern Cal, mild in the PNW, and winter bearing down on the Southeast…. Sheesh!

Have a great Hump Day, and be a good human today! It’s so much easier than the alternative…

Not sure how much white stuff we got. We escaped Dallas last night and made it up to the Lake House.
It started snowing at 0830 and is still trying. All set to stay in for a couple of days. It will most likely be gone by Saturday afternoon.

Thinking somehow you have enabled a “wake word” that wakes up someone hiding in your dashboard… from the 2023 Bronco Manual…(page 501)

You might be on to something……..
That could be it, the “wake word.”
I find myself several times setting something up and I struggle with it so I just happen to throw out the F word a lot.
Most likely I was setting it up and said F several times and now that’s the wakeup call………F
That word comes out a lot as I’m driving to work, trying to fight my way through traffic, because it almost always happens or pops up in the morning.
F………….I’ll have to give it a try!!!

Then I have to try to figure out how to turn it off……….F

I would agree sometimes the technology is more hassle than its worth… On board navigation is an example of a technology that is starting to disappear from cars as manufacturers realize people prefer to use their phone’s navigation apps.

In this day and age with so many computers installed in cars to run many systems behind the scenes without the driver’s knowledge or input, its hard to imagine a “stripped down” Bronco could be built, BUT it would certainly be a fun project for people who really want to build a car to make it their own…. It’s a little bit like those who buy and restore or rebuild a first generation bronco…. Starts out about as basic as can be, but as a blank canvas it can go in so many directions…

I’m usually pretty good with vehicle set up with the screens or infotainment centers.
Last night Donna got a new car and it’s a Hybrid, but after we were done with everything the salesman took us out to go over the vehicle (like they always do) and as he’s going over everything, I was getting so lost in all the information and settings that he was throwing at us.
A half hour later I looked at him and asked him, “Is this thing ready to fly or not, and do we need a pilot’s license.”?
I could tell by looking at Donna that she was overwhelmed ,and just wanted to get out of there.
This vehicle literally has no buttons other than the up and down for the windows and door locks……
What ever happened to the old just turn this knob or push that button?

I only live about 45 minutes from the campus so obviously ND. After the 1st half, I didn't give them any chance of winning that game.
It really was a strange 2nd half. Momentum shifted so many times. What an ending though.
