Drummond Island Bronco Adventure

Several of us met up at the Bronco the Mac event in the beginning of June. After a few went on a less than stellar trail ride, we decided to venture to Drummond Island for the day.

@Deano Bronc and I had already planned a trip in the fall to go to the Badlands in Attica, In. After spending the day on Drummond Island, we made the decision to forgo the trip to the Badlands and return to Drummond Island.

We invite the original group who went to Drummond Island(@BroncOitis, @Roughstock11, @meadoffroader @Deano Bronc and myself). We also invited @TK1215 , @EGBronc and @Laura. Unfortunately Michelle and Laura were not able to make the trip.

Tim came all the way from Arizona to play with us! He made it to Indiana on Tuesday and stayed the night with Dean. Wednesday he stayed in Wayland, MI and we(Tim & Elizabeth, Dean & Suzy, Michelle, my wife(Cindy and I)met up for dinner.

Brian and Kristy went to St. Ignace on Wednesday, Dean and Suzy headed to Mackinaw City after dinner. My wife and I met up with Tim and Elizabeth on Thursday morning and we headed north together. We made it to St. Ignace at 10:50am and stopped for breakfast at the Wild Blueberry. While we were there Brian, Kristy, Dean and Suzy who had met up earlier in the day showed up.

After we finished breakfast, the 8 of us went and posed for a picture before we headed to Detour to cath the ferry to Drummond Island.

An hour later we were on the ferry headed to Drummond Island.

Once we were on the island, we split up and checked into our places/set up camp. Everyone was on the island and we met up for dinner at the Trailhead Bar and Campground at 4:30pm. It was nice to see everyone again. Lots of hugs and hand shakes!!!

Here is Adam, Tim, Dean, and Brian climbing the steps at Marblehead from a side angle shot.
This is an area of the steps that require 37” tires or larger and a lift to make it up and over, so everyone improvised a little, and added a few more rocks…. 😉

Early bedtime becomes a coffee moment in the dark waiting for sunrise here in GA… a great way to start the day!

Coffee is on and I’m thinking homemade grits for breakfast, with a pat of butter and a skosh of maple syrup.

EDIT: I really need to pay attention to my location here…

Quite a few of us plan to meet up at Bronco Safari at the end of April. Come on over and get your Bronco dirty with us. There may be a few laughs to be a had also.😁

For myself, I plan on being in your area in April of 2025. Hoping to convince @TK1215 and a few more to travel with us to Bronco Knoll from the Phoenix area. You are more than welcome to come along.☺

Love the videos! Just wondering how my non squatch BD would've handled those trails and water crossings.

There are a few go-arounds, and with you having body armor, it can be accomplished with some caution and some good guidance!!!

I am putting together a Video of the worst parts on one of the trails, there may be an “under my breath” explicit word again, I just can’t seem to remove them all and still have a video…. 🤣
I will try to control it for the next get-together we do, if I can’t control it, then I will see myself in rehab…🤣🤣🤣

Now I think we know why he has 3 names because they go with his 3 personalities.
@BroncOitis - The talkative and funny guy on the forums.
Then we have Henry - Kinda quiet and seems happy go lucky.
Then we have Skip - gets behind the wheel and he starts talking like a sailor and has bouts of trail rage!😲

It's all making sense now........😂
