Several of us met up at the Bronco the Mac event in the beginning of June. After a few went on a less than stellar trail ride, we decided to venture to Drummond Island for the day.

@Deano Bronc and I had already planned a trip in the fall to go to the Badlands in Attica, In. After spending the day on Drummond Island, we made the decision to forgo the trip to the Badlands and return to Drummond Island.

We invite the original group who went to Drummond Island(@BroncOitis, @Roughstock11, @meadoffroader @Deano Bronc and myself). We also invited @TK1215 , @EGBronc and @Laura. Unfortunately Michelle and Laura were not able to make the trip.

Tim came all the way from Arizona to play with us! He made it to Indiana on Tuesday and stayed the night with Dean. Wednesday he stayed in Wayland, MI and we(Tim & Elizabeth, Dean & Suzy, Michelle, my wife(Cindy and I)met up for dinner.

Brian and Kristy went to St. Ignace on Wednesday, Dean and Suzy headed to Mackinaw City after dinner. My wife and I met up with Tim and Elizabeth on Thursday morning and we headed north together. We made it to St. Ignace at 10:50am and stopped for breakfast at the Wild Blueberry. While we were there Brian, Kristy, Dean and Suzy who had met up earlier in the day showed up.

After we finished breakfast, the 8 of us went and posed for a picture before we headed to Detour to cath the ferry to Drummond Island.

An hour later we were on the ferry headed to Drummond Island.

Once we were on the island, we split up and checked into our places/set up camp. Everyone was on the island and we met up for dinner at the Trailhead Bar and Campground at 4:30pm. It was nice to see everyone again. Lots of hugs and hand shakes!!!

If anybody knows anything about Michigan, then they will know all about the M-119 Scenic Heritage Route Called the “Tunnel of Trees” in Harbor Springs and ends near Cross Village.
This scenic road E Maxton Drive on Drummond Island reminds me of the “Tunnel of Trees” drive.
Just gorgeous up there this time of year!!!

Definitely a similar vibe (any Legs Inn fans here?). You guys hit some good color change, and Velocity Blue is a perfect Bronco to go against it.

This trip would not have been possible without the Bronco Nation and our community. We have our group and will run with our adventures.

My thoughts are for others to reach out in our community and find others to group up with to do these types of adventures. You may not hit it off with everyone at first. Work through your adventures and come up with a great group!

Please excuse me while I get back to the S-A-F-E-T-Y Dance!!!

I cannot agree more! This is to everyone out there, take a chance, get out of your comfort zone and do it! Meeting new people and going new places can often be intimidating. It is worth the time, effort, miles and money! We have one life, make it the best! I may be biased but the people are the best and this is what the BN is all about!

Nice job Skippy!

There are 2 ways to get to the trail that leads to a Marblehead. This is the trail that goes from Glen Cove to Marblehead and is about 2/3rds of the way between Glen Cove and the trail to Marblehead.

Here is a typical trail run on Drummond Island, unless you are taking a dirt road or a Trail that is a dirt road, this is what you will typically find as a good Trail to take.
I have many more videos, unfortunately there may, or may not have been a few “F” bombs dropped every time I dropped onto a boulder or scraped my bottom on one. 😳
I am trying to find all the clean ones, and I am editing the ones I can.
Leading the pack is @SlashRacer followed by @TK1215 then @Deano Bronc then @Roughstock11 and Recording is @BroncOitis …….

It was a “under my breath” moment, who would have thought with all the scraping underneath, that anyone would have heard it!!!🤣

Saturday was Hawaiian Shirt day! We were the talk of the restaurant.
IMG_9265.jpeg
I was serving coffee to every table for the waitress in my Hawaiian shirt.
What the duck?!?!
We walked out of the restaurant after breakfast and 3 of our broncos had been ducked!
IMG_4922.jpeg
IMG_4923.jpeg
IMG_4924.jpeg

After breakfast we headed to a spot to find pudding stones. Everyone found some pudding stones and lots of leaverites!

We took a short break after that and met up again for our trip to Fossil Ledge. Most of us who aired back up before going to Fossil Ledge, aired back down when we got there. The ride to Fossil ledge was…..BUMPY!!!
IMG_4926.jpeg
IMG_4927.jpeg

After Fossil Ledge, we headed back to Pins for dinner, then had a campfire afterward for more laughs and and unfortunately said our goodbyes.

I hope everyone had as much fun as my wife I did. We look forward to our next EPIC adventure!!!
That is awesome Mike!!! I will really have to make sure I make the next one!! Nice write up!!
