For 2025, one of Bronco’s best factory options –– the auxiliary switches, a.k.a. upfitter switches –– is now slightly harder to get.
The six switches, located in the overhead console, come with pre-run wiring to the front and rear of your Bronco for easier installations of aftermarket accessories like lights, winches, radios, compressors, fridges, and more. Ford has highlighted Bronco’s modularity since launch, and these switches are a key component of adding items with minimal work.
In 2021, they were available on all series, from Base to First Edition, either included as standard or as a $195 option.
By 2024, the price went up by $100, but they were still an incredible deal and present across the year’s models:
- Big Bend ($295)
- Black Diamond (included)
- Outer Banks ($295)
- Heritage Edition ($295)
- Badlands (included)
- Everglades (included)
- Wildtrak (included)
- Heritage Limited Edition (included)
- Raptor (included)
Customers reported adding them to their order even if they were unsure of what they would wire to them, because at that price, the possibilities and resale value were clearly there.
2025 Ford Broncos with Auxiliary Switches
Unfortunately for fans of the switches, their availability has taken a hit for the new model year, due to retired trims and remaining trims dropping them.
These are the 2025 Broncos with aux switches:
- Big Bend with Black Diamond Package ($4,495)
- Heritage Edition (included)
- Badlands (included)
- Stroppe Edition (included)
- Raptor (included)
Even though the Base is back, it no longer has an option for the switches. Outer Banks has lost them as well. Big Bend gets them, but only if you choose the Black Diamond Package.
The rest of the trims have them included in 2025, though they are not the easiest to spot in Build & Price and on some trims in the order guide. Ford has shared that Heritage Edition and Badlands now have them as standard equipment instead of optional, and because of that, the higher trims of Stroppe and Raptor have them standard as well, a fact Brighton Ford’s Aly DuBois and Long McArthur Ford’s Tim Bartz have both confirmed.
I Want the Switches but Not Those Trims …
If you have big dreams of bright lights on your 2025 Base, Big Bend without Black Diamond Package, or Outer Banks (or didn’t get them on your earlier model Bronco), you do have options.
OEM switches can be added to any Bronco, but parts alone have had owners doling out up to $1,100. Not deterred by the price? Watch Middleton Motorsports’ Ford Bronco OEM Upfitter Switches Install video for step-by-step instructions. And if you don’t care about a factory look but want a tidy way to control multiple accessories, aftermarket button and switch solutions like PROJECT X’s wireless Ghost Box and other hardwired options are available. Use your member discount and FordPass Rewards Points to bring down the price if you buy from the Bronco Nation store.

Some 2025 Bronco Sports Get Them Too!
Ford didn't leave Sport out for 2025: Order the Bronco Sport Big Bend with Black Diamond Package, the Outer Banks with Sasquatch Package, or Badlands with Sasquatch Package, and your vehicle will come with four auxiliary switches tied to pre-wired connections – one 5 amp, two 10 amps, and one 15 amp.
Bronco and Sport owners, let us know below: How many of your factory switches already have an accessory tied in, or what will you be adding?
