Last year, when Ford announced the Heritage and Heritage Limited Edition Broncos, the community speculated these trims would be harder than some to receive –– due to the Heritage first being offered to waiting order holders in ’22; the Limited’s small production number and unavailability for customers to order; and the late availability status of the vehicle.
While Heritage and Heritage Limited Broncos have been produced and delivered this year, right now, they are hard for customers to get, especially in a 2-door format. In August, Ford told dealers that the 2023 model year 2-doors of both trims are experiencing delayed production and scheduling. Additionally, the motor company has paused order acceptance on 2024MY Heritage and Heritage Limited 2-doors.
Scheduling Notes
On Monday, scheduling notes for 10/16-10/23 Bronco production week went out. Along with some heavy exhausted availability –– Raptor, Big Bend, Black Diamond, 4-door hard and soft tops, and more –– was a repeat of past notes on delayed production and order pause for the 2-door Heritage and Limited.

Lately, general production of Broncos has not been an issue for Ford: In August, Michigan Assembly Plant turned out 14,771 units.
However, the 2-door Heritage and Heritage Limited have a top that no other Bronco receives: the painted Oxford White hard top with the gunner’s hatch. Ford has not stated this special top is the commodity delaying production and preventing order acceptance of 2024s, but the notes could leave enthusiasts wondering if its supplier is having difficulties delivering.
The 2023MY Bronco is being produced through December, says Long McArthur Ford’s Tim Bartz, so while these scheduling notes will leave order holders waiting for a VIN disappointed, there’s still hope of being pulled for production this year. For order holders of a ’23 2.7L 2-door Wildtrak, Outer Banks or Badlands, you’re in luck: Ford states that those are the best configurations available right now.
