I didn't see a post by our Bronco community price protection king @RagnarKon, so I'll start a new thread.

On Friday, Ford sent this info to dealers and mentioned it would be going out in the Nov. 7 email to customers. They worked to simplify the program this year. Here are the details.

2023 Bronco Model Year Transition

Anyone who has been through a model year conversion for Bronco knows the information can be confusing, especially considering the number of series and options available and the way those have affected pricing protection in the past. For 2023, Ford is streamlining the program.

Private Offer program
The first change is doing away with the term “Price Protection.” Now, dollar amounts offsetting the MSRP increase from time of reservation/order date to the current MSRP will be called a private offer –– officially: 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer.

Next is a two-step process to determine your private offer amount. Last year, several dates and situations factored into price protection. This year, Ford is focusing on March 19, 2021 and September 9, 2022:

  • Did you order prior to March 19, 2021?
  • What was your series and door count prior to September 9, 2022?

Private Offer Amounts

These amounts apply to all 23MY Broncos except Bronco Raptor and Heritage Limited. The amounts are based on customer order/reservation date, series selected, and order changes.

How To Use the Table:
Step 1
– Do you get a Level A or Level B Offer?

  • Level A: Reservation / Order placed on or before March 19th, 2021
  • Level B: Order placed on or after March 20th, 2021

Step 2 – What was your order series / door configuration?

  • Private Offer amounts are based on the Series / Door Configuration ordered prior to the model year changeover (September 9th, 2022).
  • Changes to orders on or after September 9, 2022 will not impact Bronco Private Offer amounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Bronco Raptor covered under 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer?
  • No, the Bronco Raptor is a specialty vehicle and not covered under Bronco Private Offer.

Q: Do unconverted reservations still receive the 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer?
  • Yes, unconverted reservations still receive a 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer. All unconverted reservations need to be converted into an order by November 21, 2022 or they will be canceled. The 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer amount will be determined by the customers level in the chart above.

Q: How do I know when the original Reservation/Order was placed?
  • To find original Reservation details, dealers can use www.emp.dealerconnection.com. For order details dealers should refer to WBDO. Customers can find their reservation and order dates in their reservation and order confirmation emails or their Ford.com account.

Q: How will 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer be given and claimed in 2023?
  • If a customer is eligible for an offer from a reservation or order that originated as a 2021 or 2022 model year, private offers will be generated on the impacted customers’ behalf and be visible to Dealers upon running a SmartVINCENT Certificate Inquiry. The offer can then be applied towards the deal to reduce the total customer cost of the vehicle.

Q: What types of changes can be made to an order now without impacting Private Offer amount?
  • Private Offer amounts are based off what was reserved or ordered prior to the model year change over. Changes to orders after September 9, 2022 will not impact 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer amounts.

Awesome, thanks for the flowchart!

(and colors will work if you use the formatting tool, so have fun with those, y'all; I made the mistake of pasting from another format). But thank you for mentioning, and please @ Platform Support if you do still have issues.

Thanks Ford for just making it simple to read and make sense.
Not a bunch of what ifs, or asterisks, etc. this year. (The way I understand it)

It's also great that they changed it so the entire amount will be available at the time of purchase. The portion that was available via your dealer 45 days after the purchase was entered into the system was a mess!

That system will probably come back if Ford does mid-year price increases again. Hopefully they won't. But... inflation and all that jazz.

So this is my take on the ability to make changes.

So you could have ordered a Base and be eledgible for one of these amounts based on when you ordered and how man doors.

$3,645$2,845
$3,095$2,845

You could switch to a Big Bend and still get that amount. Even though these are the amounts for the Big Bend.

$2,750$2,350
$2,245$1,995

Sounds fair. I had originally ordered a 4 door Outer Banks but switched my order to a 2 door Heritage Edition when I converted to a 2023 order. So I'll get a private offer for $2595 off of MSRP for my Heritage. I guess I deserve that for waiting what will most likely be almost a two year wait by the time I anticipate getting it.

I 99'd that order as I was in the midst of home buying. I now have an order submitted for the Heritage model but my sales rep stated I meet the criteria but was unable to locate if I qualify for this offer as he check SMARTvincent. I reached out to Ford customer service and @Ford Motor Company whom both redirected me back to my sales rep. According to this chart I should be eligible for the $3,880 private offer. Any advice on moving forward on this?

I believe you're right in the $3,880.

From the FAQs:
If I change my order to an Everglades or Heritage Edition (not including Heritage Limited Edition), do I still qualify for price protection?
Yes. By switching to a Heritage Edition (excluding Heritage Limited Edition), you still qualify for price protection. New in 2023 MY, you will also qualify for price protection by switching to an Everglades. The amount varies depending on the series you previously ordered. Please work with your dealer to determine the amount you qualify for.

Ford told dealers all customer certificates are preloaded into SmartVINCENT, and that dealers should use the Certificate Inquiry screen to verify customer eligibility and Private Offer value under Program #38644.

Based on this chart, I would think I would be in group A. I have a 2020 reservation, but the dealership is saying i don't qualify for private offer/ price protection... Am I missing something?

Yes you should be in Group A.

The private offers for 2023MY may not yet been populated into Smart VINCENT yet... so maybe that's why your dealer doesn't think you have protection. But, yes, you should be in Group A.

Make sure your dealer submitted an order attached to your reservation. If they didn't, then your reservation will be canceled come Nov 21st and you'll lose out on price protection. If you have a FordPass account, you can check the following link and you should be able to see your order status. Replace "12345678" with your reservation ID.

Thanks for all the info. Fairly certain I understand what I qualify for. One question though….my dealer is honoring my A Plan pricing and am I’m curious how/if that would impact the Private Offer. Build week is 11/28, so delivery is hopefully sometime soon. Thanks for any help.

The dealership is saying that because I only have a reservation and no previous order aside from my 2023 that I wouldn't qualify. They stated that I had to have placed an order each year in order for price protection should remain, but I've never heard this before.

Not one to leave well enough alone, I recently inquired about the status of my “Private Offer” and got this response from my dealer:

“I had my manager check on that and it's still too early too see that in SmartVINCENT, the price protection will show up closer to delivery day or on it.”

I hope their system recognizes my eligibility prior to delivery day!

My guys at Bickford in Snohomish could see my PO last week when I called to do the same check. However, they're saying the PO is only good until Jan 3, 2023 and they don't know if it will stay or change after that.

Seems a little odd to have such a short-term run on a price protection plan when Ford controls the delivery timing (and mine's looking like that Jan 3 date could be relevant).

Anyone else hear about an expiration date on the PO or clarification on what its consequences might be?
