Just received this email from Ashlie at Chapman Ford in regards to my order. Looks like to be considered for scheduling you have to drop the hardtop, Sasquatch package and LUX package if you have them in your build.

UPDATE: There are pretty big discussions going on over on B6G about this. Ashlie herself has made a few replies. And many others have confirmed this information.

No more 2023MY scheduling for hardtops, Sasquatch and LUX (reported by dealership)

Chapman Of Horsham with @dealerinsider

Hi…

Hope all is well! Unfortunately, Ford has made us aware that customers with orders that have hardtops/LUX pkg/Sasquatch pkg will need to modify their order to drop these items for scheduling consideration.

If these changes are made by January 21st, Ford claims they will be issuing a certificate/private offer to the customer.

According to the information we received, if the changes are not made and the order flips to the new model year, Ford’s price protection program will expire.

At this time, we do not have definitive information on the certificate amount or how it will affect Ford’s price protection certificates…

We appreciate your patience and understanding…please let us know how you would like to proceed

Ford was stupid for not coming up with a soft top for the two door. It would have saved them so many issues and problems for those of us who wanted it. But nooooo we have to wait for their crap top to be built and have to wait almost three years.

Mines built just waiting for that ghost train to show up and get loaded. Nov. 23 build date for those interested.

2dr Base Squatch 2.7 here. Reserved Aug of 2020 AMB. MY22 had COVP verified by Ford, e-mail to dealer and me, went priority code 10 all year.............not built.

MY23 re re-order with COVP and PC changed to a 2 about 2 weeks ago by Ford. .........now this.

If it pans out this way for me it will burn deep.

note: not at a discount dealer, just my local guy I've known for years.
Just wait til the OFFICIAL FORD PROGRAM is live next week. Don't give up hope yet!!

There’s a little more at play this time. People need to decide they want to drop these options and get the private offer on top of raising their chances of getting built. Or do they want to keep their orders as-is and risk not only not getting built for MY23, but also losing all price protection money if they get rolled over to 2024.
Very true. Although way back when this price protection stuff started they said it would go through MY23. I have never thought they would keep extending it. It just sucks that people are gonna have to roll the dice, just like others did previously. But now there is a hard line in the sand and hard choices to make. It was easier for me because of lower number of orders at my dealerships. I had to wait and I was willing to do so. But I also knew I was gonna get what I wanted if I did so. The terrible thing that really bothers me is that the mega dealerships tried to game the system by offering great pricing and took so many orders, but probably knowing they couldn’t deliver on it. Some of those who took the chance knew the risk and had back up plans. Others only knew they were getting a great price, but not the potential risk. I believe Ford and the dealerships knew more than they let on. And Ford was clueless as to how excited people would be. It was like the perfect storm in the worst of ways.

The real bummer in this whole situation is the hard top. There really is no good replacement for that.

The Sasquatch package is a loss, but the truth of the matter is wheels/tires/suspension is relatively cheap to do aftermarket. Most people have no need for both a front and rear locker--a rear locker will be fine for the vast majority of people out there. (And if you really need a front locker, Badlands is an option.) The axle ratio is no big deal with a 10-speed transmission. Sure if you are going larger than 37" it could become a big deal, but the vast majority of people won't.

The Lux package is not a huge loss in my opinion, although I know some people will disagree with me. Losing B&O system sucks, but if I'm being honest the B&O system wasn't really that good to begin with on the Bronco, and aftermarket audio upgrades are fairly common. Losing ACC I suspect will be a deal-breaker for most people, but the big benefit is it opens up a wider range of aftermarket upgrades now that the ACC sensor won't have to be removed/relocated.

But yeah... that MIC top... no good replacement for that, that's a tough pill to swallow. Granted the soft top on the Bronco is pretty good, has a lot more flexibility compared to other soft tops. But if you just don't want a soft top then it doesn't really matter how good the Bronco soft top is. There are aftermarket hard top options, but we're talking $6000+ plus--the rumored $2500 voucher from Ford doesn't really cover that cost.

I would encourage people to be careful for circular reporting. Seems like the same source(s) of information posting on different forums. It can make you think that multiple independent sources are saying the same thing…which can create certainty of the information…but really it’s only only coming from one place. Then people repeat the information coming from one place. Anyway, next week could be interesting.
4-dr Wildtrak, Lux pkg, MIC, Leather, A51, Heavy Duty Modular bumper, and roof rack. Ordered Feb 14, 2022. In production Nov 28, 2022. Built Nov 30, 2022. Shipped via rail December 6th. Acquired Dec 31. Just livin’ the dream.

Ghost train... I like that. I guess I am waiting for the Ghost Train too!
It would be easier to wait if I hadn't sold my daily driver already. Ugh... come on Ford... send that Area51 beauty out to California!

Info from another source...

BRONCO6X - Facebook
All right, I was hoping to not have to make a post on this until next week but misinformation is spreading like wildfire on other groups and forums in relation to the remainder of the 2023 model year.

TO BE CLEAR:
Hardtop, WT, and Lux is NOT DONE SCHEDULING FOR 2023.

What IS happening:
These items remain in constraint like they have always been. Programs will be rolling out next week to incentivize you to switch off these items to get your Bronco faster. It is a good program. It will satisfy several people while some continue to wait.

Monday 1/17 program details will roll out. Please do not harass your dealers YET as we don't have the info or capability to do what is needed or give accurate answers until then. From there, think about if you are willing to drop to a lesser model and get your Bronco quicker.

Please don't message asking questions, we will do a full program release next week when it goes public. At this point details are not supposed to be released and we are not even supposed to be talking to customers about the specifics, but apparently some people took that to mean "go spread misinformation to every single customer".

These items will continue to schedule as normal if you choose to take the risk of dealing with commodities. So please do not believe what you are seeing in some other places about these no longer being produced or scheduled.

And now it looks like the Wildtrak might be going away. They are pushing people with Wildtrak orders to switch to a Badlands, OB or Big Bend and take a $2500 credit. Adds more cred to my theory that they are trying to save the Sasquatch parts for the Heritage and Everglades.

Move Eruption Green to the heritage trim and I'd be less upset about this.

I talked to my dealer about this. He said having Hardtop, sas, and lux will push you late into 2023-2024 and that people should choose one/two of the major restraints. He also recommends that the Lux be the first removed because as he put it "it's crap, unless you want adaptive cruse control."

That's interesting and concerning because I have all three of those and I have a blend date of 1/19/23. Received my window sticker a couple of days ago.
