Lifting an F-150 Lightning: Suspension, Wheels, Tires, and Rooftop Tent Install

Watch as Jordan and BN partner Garrett from GRT Offroad and Dirt Tires & Donuts Garage take you through a set of modifications to a brand-new extended range F-150 Lightning.

Garrett does a lot of Bronco builds –– we used his garage and insight when we lifted our 2021 Bronco Badlands earlier this year –– but he’s no stranger to trucks either. Browse his Instagram page, and you’ll see everything from gorgeous vintage Broncos to Land Rovers, Rams, and more.

He recently took delivery of his Lightning and wanted to make it more overland-ready. He added a two-inch leveling lift on the front with Fox coilovers, trimmed the front bumper and valance, and cut out the front crash bar. The new tires are Nitto Recon Grappler A/Ts (295/70R18). The platform tent is from Go Fast Camper. Stay for the whole video to see more details, including speedometer accuracy after mods.
