Why did you choose your model of bronco?

I knew from the begging what I wanted and would never take any less. I wanted a 2 door stick shift. Yes that was all I wanted when I considered my build. This was two years ago when my friend told me they were going to bring the bronco back. We spent the time up to the release date thinking of what it would actually looked like. I knew as soon as I could choose a model which model I would chose. The Black Diamond model was the name l like due to I like snow sking. I still wanted the stick but then I found out you could only have it in the 4 Banger. I was okay still hated that I could not get the 6 but still wanted that stick so back. When I went to actually build Or practice build my bronco I found out what things I was loosing with keeeping my stick. So what all that said I eventually chose the black diamond with the mid package automatic with the aluminium wheels. I chose this because if had the seats I wanted, the flooring I wanted, the bumpers, rock rails, and bash plate. This bronco will be my skinig partner we will have loads of adventures. So I was wonderin what was the reason everyone chose their bonrco. Look forword to being educated on the options and fine point I may have missed. My bronco is ordered and in about 10 days Ford will close out orderin6 and I will start to get really excited!!!!!!

Looking for an Appalachian snow machine- Have not seen my lawn since before Christmas and I'm a mile and a half from a maintained road. Learned my lesson the hard way when I buried my F250 and had to walk up the mountain in 18" of wet heavy snow, getting too old for that shit anymore. Fooled around with B & P with different trims and the most bang for the buck...
Base
Auto (wife)
2.7 (may as well with the auto)
Squatch (locking rear, if I could get it without it probably would not squatch)

My wife and I were engaged in the OuterBanks (Corolla) in 2003. As soon as I saw the Outer Banks name, that was the one for me. Then I almost went with a WT since I was going to be adding the 2.7 and the Sasquatch anyway. What sealed it for me ultimately was the Roast interior in the OuterBanks. I've always loved that brown tone inside a car. The tan colored leather in the WT was too light for me. So, nostalgia wins, and I ordered:
Outerbanks
2.7L
4Dr
Rapid Red (This was by far the hardest choice to make)
Lux
Towing Pkg
HD Modular front bumper
MIC top with sound deadening headliner

This will mostly be a daily driver, that I'll enjoy taking on trails and out in the timber for hunting season, so some of the off road options I figured I either 1. didn't need, or 2. could add later.

On one hand, I'm a Designer/Project Manager (PM) by trade. Concepts made into reality, problems I get to solve, specs I'm held to, requirements that need to be met, timeline constraints, scope creep, etc. In a way, I feel like Ford made me a PM for my Model selection - trying to weed out what's best for my use through all the constraints, figure out how to work around any compromises with future upgrades, stay within a budget range, deal with all the deadlines and delays, as well as Ford's own scope creep. On the other hand, my heart and gut play heavily on decisions where "toys" are concerned. So in July my heart reserved a 2dr. Badlands with intended specs of 2.3L, 7MT, MGV and High Package - and the color that grabbed me immediately from the early videos was Cyber Orange.

Between reservation time in July, until order time in January - my brain frantically tried to talk my heart into several other variations that may have made more sense, or been a more responsible build, or even a "safer" color. I even laid out all this beautiful info in the form of spreadsheets, photochops and comparisons in CAD, not to mention sifting through all the data from two popular websites. Hell, at times my brain even tried to talk me out of ordering altogether! I live in NJ for cripes sake! The only rocks are the ones that get kicked up from driving too close to the truck in front of me, and the highest elevations are a joke, with barely any legal places to off-road. The only time I'll need to disengage the sway bar is if I purposely drive over some parking blocks, or tire climb some guy's Jeep for a picture

At the end of my 6 month "project", it was finally time to order. My heart basically laughed at the waste of time my brain spent, and I ordered a Cyber Orange 2dr. Badlands with 2.3L, 7MT, MGV and High Package - exactly what I reserved. So long way of answering the question: Why did I chose my model of Bronco? Because the heart wants what the heart wants, and this thing is going to be BADASS! Now while we all wait for our Broncos, my brain gets to figure out fun places in neighboring states to really flex this thing, to take me out of my comfort zone.
Reserved 7/14/20 - Ordered Converted 1/19/21: 2 Dr Cyber Orange Badlands w/ 2.3L, 7MT, MGV, High, Tow
Tentative Build Date - Week of 11/15/21
Toys: 1971 FJ40 - 1989 Toyota Pickup - 1998 C5 vert

I told my wife the same thing. We need to get out of CA and explore. Any car would get us out, but the Bronco would make it even more enjoyable.
The wife and I have a Mustang Group we travel with pretty regularly and now looking to do the same with our Bronco. Originally from SF Bay Area now relocating to AZ

The only non negotiable option for me is the 7MT. Really love the MGV seats so I ordered
Black Diamond 2 Door
2.3T
7 MT
Standard Package
Steelies
Tow Package
Really love the rear locker as standard equipment, hate that I have to give up heated seats but for less than $200 I can instal them myself via the AM. If the cost increase wasn’t so drastic I would opt for the a BL mid package so I could keep the manual but I’m not comfortable spending that much for a car. I’m very excited for my Standard BD regardless and it will be plenty capable for me at a price point I’m comfortable with! It even still has CarPlay with the standard pack and the 8” screen is .5” larger than the one in my current car so I’m calling it an improvement! Hope to meet up with some of you all one day and Bronco together, this forum has been an amazing place to learn and get excited!D996B529-7AAF-4B45-A8D3-569E3C5AD316.jpeg

I originally reserved a 2-Door FE, thinking it would be more of a second vehicle. As time went on I realized the full potential of the First Edition and realized it could easily be my daily driver, so I opted for the 4-door for convenience and more cargo capacity. Went through multiple color choices before settling on Rapid Red based on the photos that our BN staff members shared. And with the availability of the Black Onyx interior should be a good combo. And since the interior is late availability I decided to go with the Black Modular top to get the Bronco I want. Now just have to wait for September to roll around. :)C02E2CDC-4F7C-4F85-8D97-0CD2C2230261.jpeg

Volicity blue was my favorite but could only get the anti matter blue in the black diamond
Hang on, Velocity blue is available on the BD. Did you just choose to go with anti matter for another reason?

I’m sorry I was thinking lighting blue that the first edition offers. So I’ll stick with the anti ,after blue. The velocity was to light for me. However I did consider it

I really like the rapid red color. However, ever time I have a red vehicle I get pulled over lol. Reallly like those rims may have to buy different ones when the time comes.

My current vehicle is respectable, but not built for off-road. Was seeking off-road capable. A neighbor buddy has a 2020 Gladiator with thousands invested in every possible mod. Insisted I would need the stabilizer bar disconnect. I wanted 2-door and Carb Gray, so that meant Badlands.

Interestingly, the neighbor buddy was over the house for a few beers last night while I focused on trails and off-road adventures. Come to find out he has never taken his 70K vehicle off-road. Ever! He started to look like a cat on a hot tin roof as I focused on recovery skills.

I suspect there will be many Bronco owners who switch from potential trail crawlers to actual mall crawlers as soon as the Bronco lands in their driveway. Interesting! Sad, but interesting!

Chose Outer Banks AMB with Sasquatch/Lux & Leather for the creature features primarily. It'll get me and my wife wherever we want to go, and we'll enjoy the ride along the way.

I suspect you are correct. I'm sure there will be lots of people with grand plans to take their rigs on off road adventures just to let apathy and life get in the way. And as far as I'm concerned, that's ok! Even if someone never takes their's off-road, as long as they are enthusiastic about Broncos, they are welcome members of the community.

You don't have to take your Mustang to the track to be part of the Mustang community :) .

Yep, I know I won't be doing a lot of off-roading or Bronco escape vacations until after I retire. I still have 4 years to go but I will still enjoy it before that happens.
