Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

I installed my Ford factory tailgate table that did not arrive in time to be installed by the dealer when I picked up the truck:
Factory instructions are crap, total crap. a couple crude diagrams and one or two instructions like "install and tighten bolt"
Really? I thought I should throw the bolts away?:unsure:. Just the worst instructions I've ever seen.
I would rate the tailgate install as intermediate ability or higher as there are holes to drill, and EXACT positioning is critical. Also A couple cheesy insertnuts that are aluminum if you mess it up it could go badly. I was very careful and instead of removing the frame after marking holes I drilled the pilot holes with the frame installed to make sure they were spot on, then removed the frame and drilled the larger holes with the drill bit provided.

Next was the factory rockrails:
Once again the diagram was crap, I couldn't tell if it was left or right, where it was actually showing. But the instructions were different than the tailgate table. THERE WERE NONE.
So I found a vid on youTube, and once I saw where the brackets went it was a piece of cake.
Much easier. With a (power) rachet wrench I was done in 15 mins. I would rate this mod as easy any slightly mechanically inclined person could do.
That said these curvy things were included and I have no idea what they are?? Does anyone else?
If you do and/or want them let me know.
Overall I'm happy with the quality, fit and finish of the factory aftermarket parts. Ford just needs to find someone who can write installation instructions and maybe include PHOTOS, not cheesy half drawn diagrams WTF. Its like Ford is trying to write installation instruction for aliens from outer space.

Hank
I’ve heard of a good amount of issues with the rivnuts being garbage. One of mine is already starting to pop out and I’ve barely even touched the tailgate table. I plan to replace them with something a bit more substantial soon.

Busy afternoon on the Bronco for me.

Installed the Rouch Country hitch. Pretty easy install and only takes removing 6 bolts and unplugging two wire harnesses. The instructions said to unplug the harness from drivers side of bumper and then in the center. Well, there was no center harness on mine and the other one was actually on the passenger side (see photos below). Seems like a really sturdy product overall and I am very happy with it.

I also added the Bronco script emblem. Put one of the factory decals on my tailgate.

Lastly, installed adhesive Velcro to my tailgate in the space behind the tailgate table for my morale patches. Had them on the roof of my last vehicle, but obviously not an option with the soft top. Love how it turned out and think it’s a great place for them. Sorry some are blurred out, but I imagine those that have these may know why.

Thanks Godfather, my Rough Country hitch is sitting in the garage its my next mod, your post will help.
I don't plan to tow with the Bronco, I have 2 other vehicles including a Duramax truck to tow stuff with, I just want a center mounted pull point at the back and (with the extension) the ability to load my bicycle and carrier on the back.

It was a very easy install in my opinion. Well worth it to have it if you need it. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask and I’ll be happy to help.

Had to cut short our drive to Bill Moore Lake (north of Empire, CO) due to snow. Lake sits just below the saddle pictured above my bronco. Fun trail, planning to go back next week with snowshoes!

little brisk driving up I70 topless! Jtop Bimini performed well!

Got the KR Offroad Fishing Rod Holder today at work. Was a really simple install.

I got them for a pending trip from Florida to Maine and no where to store both my sons rods. We are staying on Square Pond, so they want to bring “their own” reels, (they are boujee like that). I ordered the Double Rod Holder, and you can put it together with a spacer, and for it to one trail sight, but it interferes with opening the hood. So you have the option to do two “single” holders, which it what I did.

Basically, I think when I am done with my Bronco, I will mish-mash the “Overland Concept” with the “Fishing Concept” and have mine!

My Tailgate Reinforcement is done and welded up. My Rough Country hidden winch system with 9500lb winch looks to ship Friday, so more will be coming soon!

Our dealer, Mullinax Ford of Central Florida, sponsored a local Off-Rodeo and we hit the trails and sand pits this past weekend. They treated us to a BBQ lunch afterwards. A very nice gesture to their Bronco buyers:

Talk about mudflaps, my girl's got 'em!

Fronts: Not so simple, as the OEM Ford front mudflaps and OEM tube steps interfere with each other. Big thanks to "Ford Bronco 2021", who posted a video describing his solution: cutting an opening in the mudflap. They cost under $50/pair, so I gave it a go. A Sharpie and a new, sharp utility knife did the trick for me. You'll need to temporarily remove the four bolts securing the steps, and slide them back. I then installed the flap, slid the step up against it, marked it out, and started cutting. Nibble away at it- you can cut a little more, but cutting too much and putting it back is a bitch.

Mud Flap Front Detail.JPG

The rear flaps required a right-angle drill attachment to drill 3/16" holes for the screws. Why did I not know this tool existed for so long?!?
Mud Flap 1.JPG

I think all four blend in well, and will be functional in protecting my Area 51 paint.

Did you take any sound measurements before the removal for comparison? I am assuming the dynamat is for a more quiet ride.
