Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

This thing was a bit of a pain. Not a great place on the Big Bend grill for it. The nut closer to the “N” is not very tight because it’s impossible to get to, but think it’s tight enough. Warning, the edges of the badge are relatively sharp and scratched a bit of paint off the grill where the top point touches the grill.

Day1: Gosh dang she’s beautiful

The dealer should be putting my aftermarket on next week or two, but I had to drive it home today

I mounted a Ram QI charger to the console grab handle.

1 M6 Female Ram ball
1 M6x55mm stud
2 couplers
1 10” Tackform Arm
1 QI charger.

Quick tip - locktite on the threads for the stud will keep it from coming loose.

Saving this one! Thanks for sharing.

I ended up putting Baja Design lights my Bronco. Light bar and pillar lights. I'm waiting for my bumper lights.
I also added an ARB air compressor. The air compressor is under the bronco in the rear. I ran the nosel through the bumper.

I have since changed the 10” Tackform Arm out for the Ram Mounts Double Socket Arm - RAM Mounts Double Socket Arm with...
It is a lot sturdier, and I don’t have to adjust it like I did the Tackform Arm.

Had a RAM mount for my boat. Thing was incredibly sturdy. Don’t think I had to adjust it once and I hit some pretty solid wakes with it.

So I got the Rotopax Bracket welded onto the Rough Country Tailgate Reinforcement today, and my grinds weren’t too bad, so I hit them with some spray paint. Will decide when I get the claim done with Nationwide on my bumper to see what I’m powder-coating and do it all at one.

Probably won’t get this installed till later this week. Was busy working on the “she shed” this weekend too.

Picked up my Big Bend from the dealer Wednesday. Friday I had Cooper Discover AT3 285/75r17 put on, and I installed the Rough Country hidden winch, Nudge bar, and hood struts

I installed my Ford factory tailgate table that did not arrive in time to be installed by the dealer when I picked up the truck:
Factory instructions are crap, total crap. a couple crude diagrams and one or two instructions like "install and tighten bolt"
Really? I thought I should throw the bolts away?:unsure:. Just the worst instructions I've ever seen.
I would rate the tailgate install as intermediate ability or higher as there are holes to drill, and EXACT positioning is critical. Also A couple cheesy insertnuts that are aluminum if you mess it up it could go badly. I was very careful and instead of removing the frame after marking holes I drilled the pilot holes with the frame installed to make sure they were spot on, then removed the frame and drilled the larger holes with the drill bit provided.

Next was the factory rockrails:
Once again the diagram was crap, I couldn't tell if it was left or right, where it was actually showing. But the instructions were different than the tailgate table. THERE WERE NONE.
So I found a vid on youTube, and once I saw where the brackets went it was a piece of cake.
Much easier. With a (power) rachet wrench I was done in 15 mins. I would rate this mod as easy any slightly mechanically inclined person could do.
That said these curvy things were included and I have no idea what they are?? Does anyone else?
If you do and/or want them let me know.
Overall I'm happy with the quality, fit and finish of the factory aftermarket parts. Ford just needs to find someone who can write installation instructions and maybe include PHOTOS, not cheesy half drawn diagrams WTF. Its like Ford is trying to write installation instruction for aliens from outer space.

This video by @1Five1 Garage was pretty helpful. I'm going to replay it before attempting my own installation once I take delivery.

I'm sorry your installation was particularly challenging. I agree with your original post as well. Detailed instructions should be considered a physical part of any assembly! That said, I often perform Google searches or YouTube inquiries before doing almost anything that involves some risk of causing damage to my vehicle. I'm glad I did in the past, too, as I learned what to look out for by seeing what others were encountering during the modification of their own vehicles. Once I get my Bronco, I'm going to see about adding content to those sites that may help others steer clear of potential snafus.
