Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Not sure how one turns the ignition on a keyless push button, but semantics.
Click your heels three times.
Say "There's no place like home."
Watch out for the house falling from the sky. Hopefully the perimeter defense will warn you first.

Spent a little time today washing Bluto and Nag. Bluto was easy but Nag was a labor of love. Tomorrow I will do the plastic trim on Nag and be done with it. This off road stuff gets the old boy filthy!

Replaced the stock GY tires with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires 35x12.50r17 tires. The GYs had 43,500 tough miles on them with 2 Moab, 1 Colorado and numerous local off-road trips. I was planning on waiting till spring to change them but came across a good deal so I decided to pull the trigger. I know they get a bad rap but they really served me well.

I decided to go a different direction for a more aggressive tread pattern. I've got a trip planned in a couple of weeks and we'll see how they do off-road.

I tell you what. After about 27k miles on them, pavement (wet or dry), mud, snow, rocks, gravel, speed and crawling, I intend to buy them again. I have been off road for more than 30 years, lots of vehicles, sooo many types of tires. These just plain do great in all situations. And they are pretty quiet on the highway.

You will love them.

I love what I am seeing and hearing about these. I am deep into a replacement tire dive and these are on my short list!

They look good on your Bronco, @Deano Bronc. Crossing fingers that they deliver the performance you want. I should be ready for a new pair of sneakers in about three years. 😜

MT Baja Boss are great tires.. Always have been. Not sure where they get a bad rap from but everyone I know who has them, or had them, likes(d) them..

Oops, sorry. I probably worded that wrong but I was talking about the stock Goodyears. I know a lot of people really hated how they chucked rocks and many had issues with rocks puncturing the tread and/or sidewalls. I put them through the wringer and never had an issue.

"Amen" to "they served me well." Three years and 51K on the OEM Goodyears, with a fair bit of offroading, but mostly city and highway, and they've got about 5/ or 6/32s of tread. Yeah, they're getting a bit gnarly. I'm taking them up to Vermont for the-pilgrimage.com, three days of working sometimes-notorious Vermont Class IV roads. Then I'll run them down a bit until central New England gets snow and mount the K02s I have in the basement.

I see the GY "Territories" as a well-proven all-around 4x4 tire, marketed and well tested on Jeeps as "Wranglers." Other tires will be more quiet or give you better economy, a bit better on rock crawling or mud or snow or baja or some specialty use, but the GYs, if not "perfect" or "the best" at certain tasks, perform excellently.

No complaints-- except the rock chucking the first 10,000 miles or so. You have been so advised.

I personally would not buy them even if they were $100 per tire but to each their own. If people are happy with them, then I say cool!

Sweet pic! πŸ‘

Group meetings are nice every so often but I mainly prefer to be solo..

I go out camping and off-roading to get away from people for the most part.. I like moving, and doing things, at my own speed and I enjoy the solitude of being solo..

Guess you can call me anti-social or a recluse...

I can relate. That said, it was fun wheeling with you while you were in Washington. You’re an apt trail guide.
