Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Prayers for you and the medical staff....here's to a smooth ordeal!

Thank you... Not a big deal though... Just going to wipe me out for a bit afterward... A couple days I will be fine.

Thank you... Like I said, not a big deal just takes a bit of recovery time.

I ordered IAG hood struts. The way I have my winch and light wires run, the hood prop pinches them when closed. So, hood struts, and bye-bye prop.

Installed the ARB Twin compressor last night.
Quick shoutout to Caleb at PandaMotorworks - he did a cool promo a couple weeks ago on the G6 forum & basically said "make me an offer" on anything he carried, then did his best to match what you asked for.
So he saved me $100 on the compressor from the $616 list price.
Snapchat-1436008326.jpg
It went pretty smoothly, but there are a couple things I'll note for anyone else planning to do this mod.
1 - The ARB harness to the battery doesn't include ring terminals, so make sure you have some & a crimper.
2 - If you're going to wire it to a factory aux switch, you only need the purple wire on the smaller harness, you can simply cut the other wires off & tape them up (unless you're really crazy & want to cut the loom apart & separate them out).
3 - When you connect your ground, there are two ground wires that need to be put into the ring terminal, the main thicker gauge & then a small thin black wire, make sure you get both or it won't work.
4 - I can't speak with authority on the KR bracket from 4x4truckleds (they're functionally the same from what I can tell), but with the Barnes 4WD bracket, it's actually easier to put the compressor onto the bracket outside the vehicle entirely & just leave the two bolts that hold the leg of the bracket semi tight, then install the hole thing & tighten those two bolts last.
Trying to follow the instructions & add those last 2 bolts while the compressor is in the vehicle was a nightmare.
5 - It's also easier to tighten the lock nut on the top of your strut from the wheel well than with a socket extension through the engine bay
6 - If you're not adding a manifold to the compressor & don't purchase the inflate kit from ARB, plan on getting a 1/4" x 1/4" threaded 90 deg fitting to put your quick connect on - I tested a straight 1/4" x 1/4" fitting & my hood definitely wouldn't close once the quick connect was threaded. The fittings are cheap - I paid $1.80 through my work account at Tompkins, but if you want to have everything done in 1 day, make sure you have one on hand before you start.
7 - This install can definitely be done by one person, but a second set of hands was nice when trying to line up the bracket, the ECU module & then reinstall the bolts. The compressor is a touch heavy to both hold & line up with 1 hand.

I'd also like to take a moment to highly recommend Barnes 4WD & there bracket.
The main option that seemed to come up for a bracket to mount this under hood was the KR bracket from 4x4truckleds.
I love 4x4truckleds & have purchased all my Diode Dynamics lights & harnesses through them, but the KR Bracket for $249 was more than I could fathom.
I work in a fab shop, where I literally quote & price the parts we make & I know there's no way that bracket should cost anywhere near that much.
I was actually starting to work on what it would cost me to make a similar bracket when I found out that Barnes already has it covered.
The Barnes version is functionally the same & cost $80 (10% off if you use a code - I used MORR from Matt's Off Road Recovery)
If I had a flat pattern, drawing & dxf file, I could probably cut that bracket, bend & paint it for around $50-60
So paying them $80 was a no-brainer, since I'd have had way to much time in figuring everything out & making drawings.
But $249 for the KR is just a Bronco tax if you ask me.

Barnes also received my order 2 days before Helene & shipped it only about 9 days later - they're just outside Asheville NC, so they had quite the tall task to even process & ship orders for stocked parts - much props to them - I wasn't expecting to see it for a few more weeks.

They have a nice little collection of Bronco G6 parts, so take a look & see if there's anything you might need.

I definitely plan on going back to them as I add skid plates & things to mine.

Was a mistake clicking on an email, Amazon hooked me on a Prime Big Deal. Moab Bronco Off-Roadeo, Jamie's battery powered compressors were so impressive airing up at Super Cel West, thought we'd try one.

Jamie had Milwaukee's pump and batteries. We already have 2 other battery tool systems and aren't interested in a third, so with almost 40% off - We'll try this unit. Oh should mention, Nathan at Outdoor Auto has had one of these for couple years and really likes 'em.

Search Amazon: "Fanttik X9 Ultra Portable Tire Inflator for Pickup Truck, RV"

Put up the Halloween decos today, and couldn't resist adding some to the Bronco. So can I use the HOV lane now?

Given the number of people healing up or getting cut on, maybe we need to rename this thread ”the infirmary”…

Hoping procedures and recuperation continues to go well for @Unicorn and @BroncOitis!

Gold stars from the PTB today, and in case I didn’t say it earlier… STAIRS SUCK!

Wheeled the Nebraska National Forest area today. Hit the trails at 7am and just got back to camp at 4pm. 9 hours of absolute fun!

I’ll post more in a trip thread I’ll make tomorrow after I get back home.
