Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Military vehicles have that…. Called CTIS. Constant Tire Inflation System….. hit the button for sand and they deflate…. Push hwy, they inflate…. Kind of goat modes for tires….

🐎
Probably only adds $10k to vehicle price…

Just looked up those Mags, that price is crazy, but cheaper then new paint. Thanks for the post, I didn't even know magnetic armor was a thing. Now if any vendors are out there and make ones that cover the whole area from grille to taillights I'll be in line.
Yeah, it's pretty pricey. It goes on with an adhesive, not magnet--not much sheet metal on the Bronco, you know. Not only that: it's a serious install job if you want it down nice and flat, no creases or bubbles or gaps where water and dirt can come in. "Monika" does a nice install video, making it look easy and fast, but she's done it dozens of time. I recommend 4 hands when applying the larger pieces. The topo-on-gray (not currently available) works really nice on my carbonized gray (See my post with image, above). I plan to keep it on until mid-October, then remove and store.
I left mine on way too long into last winter, and there was a lot of weakened adhesive and dirt. I was very pessimistic, thinking it would be a one-season use, and very expensive at that.
Well: you wash it under cool running water in the sink, a tiny bit of dish detergent, and let it dry very thoroughly which actually refreshes the adhesive. I found it went back on a bit easier. I'll be up in the Quebec woods in a week, 500 miles ("the Swisha Loop"), I'll know better how it holds up on season/application 2. There are a few small rips here and there. I figure matching duct tape should suffice.
Of you decide to order, call, as their web page doesn't always have what's available. And read and follow the directions carefully!

Repositioned my ditch lights onto brackets. At first I was digging it until I backed up and looked at them from the front. Anyway, I’ll go into detail more in my build thread.

After dusting day in the dirt yesterday, gave WildTrak a bath today.

And thinking 'bout our next upgrade - Winch front bumper. We keep our solo adventure trails pretty easy, but even so front end protection & winch capabilities seem essential.

With all the big critters 'round here, ARB Summit rig's our original pick. Fab Four & RCI're also interesting though. We like their 3/16" mild steel & made in USA.

One issue I worry about is keeping air flow max. I mean even with our capable bumper, we're up to 240f engine oil temp running 4L in M1 engine at 2.5k to 3k RPMs.

Luv Fab Four's design & protection, but even without a light bar, FF's air flow looks
constrained.
Fab 4's WEB_FB21-X5252-1_FRONT.jpg
RCI's our local fav, but will require some bull bar mod for more grill protection.
RCI ANA9678.jpg
ARB still seems to offer best protection, lights & winch features - With it's weight (200lb) and over the top 'cattle catcher' look..

Your suggestions are very welcome!

EDIT: Interesting note when pricing these options. The freight is over $800 with a Bronco Nation ARB purchase, and $99 when purchased direct from ARB. Also, Fab Four has free shipping to their local dealer and they have several dealers in Denver area.

Cheers

I'm still trying to figure out how magnetic armor is working on aluminum body panels...

From what i have read, it’s a gel that makes them stick and they don’t last forever. Maybe more products available than the ones I have read about so may not be same with all.🐎

In the Libations thread, there's that shot with your grandson sleeping on your chest. If I didn't know any better, I'd confuse you with Lex Luthor.

Gave my Bronco its new car fridge that arrived this morning. It's all aluminum so it should fare better in my topless 2DR. The only bummer is that it's not a dual zone, so no ice cream for me. (insert no ice cream sad face here)

I'll test it out on my next camping and off-road trip in a few weeks.. I'm waiting on the ARB dual compressor kit I ordered to arrive and get slapped in before I head out on that next trip.

After reviewing this chart, gotta rank ARB's Summit bumper ahead of Fab Fours winch bumpers.
