Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Bronco needs to offer self inflating tires like in the James Bond movies. 😆

Military vehicles have that…. Called CTIS. Constant Tire Inflation System….. hit the button for sand and they deflate…. Push hwy, they inflate…. Kind of goat modes for tires….

So a couple of months ago, I was talking to the MorrFlate vendor at an event and was advised regarding a new product that was going to be release in a couple of months. Fast forward to this past weekend up at OE PNW, and i was able to pick up the new MorrFlate Air Hub. This is their new, set it and forget it inflate/deflate system. Can’t wait to integrate this into my existing Quad kit!

Yep. I don't imagine very cost effective for consumers however.

I'm looking forward to the fun of trying to create one to feel like I beat the system, however this may be a better bet. Does this come with needed hardware??

That is the one I used on my Bronco, and it comes with everything you need for the install.

Spent the day off-roading at the Ben Franklin Range in western PA.... then on the way home, nailed a deer.
Drivers front fender is the most serious, took a few dents & is definitely knocked out of position (check the door & hood gaps). Mirror is smashed pretty good, including the mounting housing & the door has a dent in it as well.
My ditch lights survived the impact though, that was nice.

Ouch! I think we feel a collective pain when we read things like this. It's one thing to watch out for crazy drivers, but no one expects to cross paths with a wild animal. I hope your Bronco is returned to its original condition soon! How did you fare personally? Did any airbags deploy?
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

No airbags - took it all of the front fender. Just some dents, a busted mirror & annoyed feelings.
I couldn't believe I spent 5 hours in the woods without touching anything & then bam, smacked a deer driving 40mph on the way home.

Indeed. I’m glad you’re okay. There’s only one you. It’s good the airbags didn’t need to deploy, as that would require interior repairs on top of the exterior damage. In a way, you’re lucky most of the damage was confined to your fender area. Still, sorry this happened to you. 🙁

No, the deer nailed you.
Get your estimate first before you file an insurance claim. Then work with your insurance agent to determine if your surcharge (and how many years will you carry that?) plus your deductable exceed the cost if you out-of-pocket it. If you pay yourself, use the credit card which gives you the most rewards--unless you're carrying a balance month-to-month, in which case you have to consider how much you'll pay in interest.
I think there was a thread on the other site about replacing a mirror, including installation. They're expensive, especially on the Lux.
Bummer!

Dang! Looks like the Bronco fared quite well. Still sucks though, hope you're OK that's the important thing.

I swear by the cheap little dear alert devices. I drive along isolated wooded highways all the time on road trips and we see them off to the side looking like they heard us coming and moved off the road. The one time I failed to put them on I ended up having to slolem between 3 in road dear driving through the Redwoods. To this day I don't know how I avoided them. Guardian angels were working overtime that night.

Just ordered the corner body armor on the Ford Accessory sale (25% off, discount code: FIREWORK25). Going up to Canada for the Swisha Loop, 500 off-road miles--mostly treking, nothing especially technical, they say. But the tour leader said, "Expect pinstriping--guaranteed!" So I hope those corner pieces come in time, and I'm putting my MEKMagnet armor back on. Here's my rig with the MEKMagnet body armor, toppo design on darker gray over my carbonized gray.

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna let the insurance handle it. I haven't had a claim in about a decade, so I'm hopeful that I don't get dinged to badly. I mean, I'm in PA, so I'm probably already paying a higher premium just because of the frequency of deer strikes.

I washed it off this morning & there's at least 2 dents on the door skin, a couple dents on the fender & it's misaligned, along with probably needing an entire new mirror.

Fortunately, the best auto body shop in my area is already set up with my insurance so I can get an estimate from them & it's considered the same as if an adjustor for the company looked at it.

I suggest you get the estimate and do the arithmetic in spite of the bother. Also consider what may happen if you have to put in one or two more claims in the next five years. My daughter got side-swiped while parked, twice, in a five-year period. Then she had a bonafide accident, and Progressive* turned her down for renewal. She had to go to a state-administered high-risk drivers' pool--very expensive, because of those three claims.

*"Progressive" is cheap because they're aggressive in denying and shorting claims. The name "Progressive" comes from the owner's political beliefs--he's very big on donating to and supporting "progressive" causes. Just so you know. Also, I cringe at their spokespersonwoman "Flo" and her motley associates.

Just looked up those Mags, that price is crazy, but cheaper then new paint. Thanks for the post, I didn't even know magnetic armor was a thing. Now if any vendors are out there and make ones that cover the whole area from grille to taillights I'll be in line.
