Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Heading to the tire shop to see if I need to get this tire patched or if I can just pull the nail out of the lug.

But serious, sorry you have to go through this hassle.

I had one like that a few weeks ago. Pulled it out and luckily it had not punctured the tire and was just stuck in the lug.

If it needs to be plugged, check with Discount Tire or Les Schwab Tires in your area. Both will plug a tire for free in my area.

Yeah, passenger side inside's a very tight space, but these look like good skids, and like their threaded adapter approach. Where'd you get the HD poly?

Cheers

I have no idea if this is tough enough for skid duty but I thought I would give it a try. I used a heat gun to bend the poly which helped a little to get it to bend. I used 2 sheets of 6x12

Changed my oil and rotated the tires. Plus installed the Bronco bull bar. Found someone that was asking $50 for it so we drove over to Ohio on Saturday to pick it up. Also installed my painted BN badge.
Also installed my new trailing arm skids that I modified with poly.

Nice trail - Thanks for pics! Running Wildtrak withour the wheel flares?

Cheers

Yeah, they come off easy enough. I'd rather not scratch them up. I'd rather just let my tires and rock sliders do all rubbing up against trees and rocks.
I am not the leader. I just like to go first.

Hey good find! Very interested in durability of this product's skid application. And, it's relatively cheap! You've probably seen Foutz's version of your creation .. At a slightly different price point.

Yes, that is where I got the idea and you are correct about the different price point!
Also, Tim @TK1215 had a lot of trouble installing his so I thought I would give these a try plus copy their design.

IMG_7590.jpgThat should be "plug-able". Not a patch. Although some places will a plug, followed by a patch.

Stuff I used to do decades ago. This facility was called "The Cold Room", and was located inside Dearborn Proving Grounds. Located adjacent to the Test Track Office, in later years a chassis dyno was added, and snow could be manufactured.

Just a heads up for peeps with RCI fuel tank skids. IAG says on their website their rear control mount skids may not fit Broncos running 3rd party plates. RCI's skid design have slight outward side angles and edge flares. These features make for a strong fuel tank skid, but very limited space on passenger side between the tank skid and control arm mount.

So after several back 'n forths, this morning IAG said their skids won't fit with RCI's tank plate, saying:

"After taking a look at it with the engineers, I don't believe ours (IAG) are going to work. That being said , we are getting ready to release some new skid plates for the Raptors and we're going to incorporate some of our design changes into the rest of our lineup. There may be an opportunity down the road that they will fit, but that will likely still be a couple months out."

Just watched a pigeon on my neighbors roof, sitting on the Solar panels. Staggered around and dropped dead, rolled off and onto the ground. R.I.P.

Finally got 'round to ordering Tuffy's cargo area locking storage drawer today. Used points, so much cheaper to purchase at Ford accessories.

Luv this drawer's heavy build and compact cargo area presents. Heck, with a good cover think our dog, a 40lb terrier can ride on top of this box too.

Well played! IMO, stock Bronco can use a little more giddy-up from stop - Particularly in 1st gear. Might as well start in M2, then shift to auto..
