Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

I have been looking at these also. It’s only money, right?🤣

I'm looking at adding some protection to my Badlands SAS before my trip to Moab in April. Right now I have the lower shock mount skids and the diff skid sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. I'm also thinking about the transmission skid as well. I'm going to take a look when I install the others to see what that cross member looks like and see if maybe it might not be a good idea. So, just to be sure, the RCI skid plate will work with the Badlands OEM steel bash plates, right?

I used the Eibach 2” coil lift. Wheels have a -12 offset. They clear the crash bars, but rub on the fender liners. I’m talking with JKS to purchase half the max tire kit since I only need the fender liner brackets and not the frame reinforcement. Stay tuned.

Sorry for all the questions, but does that lift actually give you 2" of lift if you have a SAS already? I'm curious to see what JKS says. I've heard that the DV8 fender liners aren't very good. Saw that on a YouTube video somewhere. So I'm curious what JKS has to say about that because I'm kinda hesitant to start cutting on the frame of my Bronco.

Yes. They are specifically made to lift a SAS suspension. https://www.levelupsuspension.com/products/eibach-pro-lift-springs-21-bronco

JKS emailed me with part numbers and a quote for $56.34. I just have to call and order the parts. Their email was strangely worded, so I didn’t want to mention anything until I knew for sure.

Installed DV8 pinch weld covers and they look great. The hardware black coating was pretty thin and I am afraid the hardware and covers may rust. I should found an aluminum or plastic set. Looks good but second guessing my choice. Oh well. My .02

What has the user experience been like on the pinch weld covers? I do like the fact that it makes the Bronco look better. But am worried about soil/mud/dirt accumulating behind the cover that can lead to rust…

Try spraying them with some RustOleum truck bed liner. Used it on my IAG running boards and it has held up well.

Added a couple fog lights and played around with the aux switches. Have to admit it’s a great system but why did they bury it down in the corner lol. A little hard to crimp wires. I can’t believe that aux switch is only $200. Aux 3 hooked up and plan on 2 more in the future.

Added some character to the underside crawling over some rocks and stuff on fun tight trail. I only took the drone pic, but folks with us took lots of pics and vids of the technical spots. Here's the easier of the two rock obstacles we went through.
Great day with some pretty cool people.

Can't really tell by looking at it but finally ditched my plastic bumper with a capable metal one. I am much happier with it

I have to say that garage looks really cool.

Looks like someone decided to start a trend like the jeep ducks. I had two jeeps back in the day but that was before they came up with the duck idea. My brother has a jeep now and has so many on his dash, it makes me wonder if he can see out the windshield. Personally, I'm not interested in starting a collection of little rubber animals but to each their own, lol.

I agree! Bath tub toys on the dash?🥵

So I want to thank @Deano Bronc for his post regarding the RCI transmission cross member skid plates. I purchased a set and installed them today. You can use a ratchet on two of the bolts, but for two of them a ratcheting box wrench is perfect. All I can say is this: for any of you that are taking your Bronco off roading, please install these sooner than later. Those cross members have suffered the most carnage on the underside of my Bronco.

Looks great! Just be careful with those weak cables. Put a 2.5 gallon water jug on mine and they snapped. @Ford Motor Company didn't exactly make these Ford tough.

I get it, I was not impressed with it's strength or how it assembled.

Dropped the drivers door trying to reinstall it. The square pin seems out of alignment and the door won’t drop on at full open. Passenger side was fine. A little dent to the corner and some cracked paint. Womp but oh well.

Sucks you dropped it, hope it is not too bad. Make sure you tighten those bolts all the way. if you don't that door will let you know with the most annoying creaking sound, when you open it. I let my son tighten the bolts on the passenger side and a few days later... oh the sound.
