We had a wagon we used for a shop truck, 325,000 miles when it was junked. The trick to Pintos was get a wagon with a 4 spd, then you had something usable.

I’ll just say this: you never hear Volvo having safety issues.

Hell, they actually pass tests that aren’t even designed when the vehicles are released.

It’s almost like some companies go out of their way to protect their customers.

And then we have Ford, GM, whoever owns Jeep at any given moment.

You do realize that Ford has a big recall out for shocks that are falling apart, right?

Go watch crash test videos.

Volvo does stuff like testing to make sure that if your car goes flying through the air, that the wheels come apart when you land to minimize the chance of spine damage.

Meanwhile, Ford and other companies only play catchup. Heck, they failed the small overlap test, and then only beefed up the driver’s side, because screw the passenger

Seriously, Volvo is the only company that is really trying to push the envelope when it comes to safety.

Volvo is the only car company that has publicly stated a goal of zero people killed in or by their vehicles.

Volvo safety is off the charts better than anything the big three do.

I did drive a F-150 in high school and college……just sayin’. Graduated and bought a Bronco II. 🤷‍♂️

My wife rolled her eyes a bit when I bought a pickup about 15years ago.

Probably the only saving grace was that I tended to just cruise at a reasonable clip.

And also she was just happy to not have to ride in my Mustang any longer.
