Anyone see the Jeep commercial with the Bronco. Some folks are talking how Jeep did bronco dirty but I saw it as hey we inspired people to make a (possibly better) adventure vehicle. And Ford says they talked to Jeep folks to find out what was the best parts of Jeep and what they need to fix. Also Han Solo says pick the vehicle that makes you happy. And as I drive down the highway on a long road trip to a place to go wheeling I am happy with my Glades. Bronco is not for everyone but it is for anyone.

GM doesn't have an offroader.

They have the Colorado - the ZR-2 with Bison package is pretty sweet.

Nobody in their right mind would buy the Jeep brand.

Every prior company that owned it has gone under in some way.

I’ve got a 21 4dr badlands, also an18 jku. I do prefer the jeep offroad. Here are my reasons The low point is the front diff. Everything else will clear. You can see over the front end. What I don’t like is the pentashit engine. Its normal operating temp is 227. And is a thirsty pig. The Jeep always requires attention.
The bronco is fantastic on road And is capable off. Low point is frame braces behind the transmission. And then the shock mounts. What I hate about the bronco is the frameless windows and the pos Windshields, but most of all lack of knowledge and support from ford.

I’ll be buying a Jeep if the next Bronco has frameless windows. Yes, I think they’re that bad. I miss the days where I could simply roll down my window 1” for some fresh air without the windows going BWAMMMMWMWMWM on turns.

And I have to relearn them once or twice a month.

I love everything else about my Bronco, and I plan to pour another $15k into it for a higher performance suspension and drive it another 50,000 miles. The 7th Gen Bronco will get my money… so long as the doors have frames.

Never say never but I don’t think Ford is going to add framed doors that is the compromise ford made to have removable stowaway doors. But I get it, maybe they can improve them though, there are other vehicles with frameless doors. I don’t have any problem with the windows but I do live in the part of the world if you roll your window down 1” you burst into flames so we either have them full up or full down.

Stow away doors are functionally worthless as far as I’m concerned. I have never seen anyone do that in the last three years I’ve owned my Bronco.

Making 100% of the owners suffer with crappy windows to accommodate 0.0001% of people is just plain stupid.

I get they tried to make a market differentiator with Jeep, but this one fell flat on it’s face.

Just to demonstrate how bad they are, they are the only reason my wife won’t let me get a Bronco Raptor TODAY. She loves the trails, wants me to invest in better capabilities, but refuses to spend new car money on these. So she bought herself a Jeep.

Ford won’t care! I’ve had my doors off ,maybe a dozen times. Once I stacked them in the back. What a waste of time and effort. Couldn’t put anything else I needed in back. Swing and a miss.

I do think Ford listens, or else I wouldn't waste the time to complain. I think the data will speak for itself with the amount of people taking Broncos back to the service center for windows that don't work. It was a nice idea, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Rather irrational, but hopefully you went with the extended warranty.

Jeeps are awesome (I've had like 7 of them) and Broncos are awesome.. I prefer my Bronco but no hate for Jeeps from me..

We actually almost bought a jeep in 2019, but ended up keeping our truck instead. Yeah, nothing bad to say about them, a vehicle is a vehicle to me.

I have taken the doors of exactly two times the first time was to try it out the second time was just the drivers door to help with installing my Wolfbox. I would never store the doors in the Bronco we carry far too much stuff to use all that space. So if the doors had frames it really wouldn’t bother me. But I do like the frameless windows for one reason. parking in the garage can be tight at times so it is nice to roll down the window to get out. I don’t go out the window but having that extra room to maneuver is nice. I do the same thing with my sons Camaro it is just easier to get in and out in tight spaces. Then I use the roll up feature on the remote. But I don’t know if that justifies having frameless.

The windows are a pain. They don't seal tight, whistle in the cold weather. Ford used bad data to make a frame less window. To date this is the only pain in the butt I have and it will get worse as it gets older. If Jeep learned many moons ago what made Ford think this was a great idea. The window frame is not an issue if you take your doors off while on the trail. Commercial is typical when your company is scrambling to stay afloat.

I can't catch a break.

There is not one convertible on the market other than the wrangler I can think of that has framed windows. Having frameless doors makes them easier to remove and store. If you didn't want removeable doors, why did you buy a Bronco? Removeable doors and a removeable roof are the essence of the vehicle; it is a compromized design because of those features. There are many SUVs that have framed windows and stationary doors to choose from.

My 1995 Jeep YJ came with half-doors and zip-open plastic windows, a serious compromised design except when looked at from the perspective of the intended use of the Wrangler. The half-doors made the door removal simple and easy. The Bronco design provides the best of both, glass windows with half doors. I'd prefer exposed hinges on the Bronco to aid in easier door removal, but it is what it is.

I don’t like to remove my doors. Tried it once with my Jeep and hated it. Never removed the doors on my Bronco. And I never plan to.

No other SUV besides Jeep has the combination of front & rear lockers, disconnecting sway bar, or a suspension that fits 35” tires stock. And no other SUV can go up to 37” tires with as little modification the Bronco takes.

The “essence” of the Bronco for me is where it has taken me and the creature comforts it provided on the way.
