Just for fun, let's share some of our silliest mods to date. I've got a couple. My most recent was adding this "ECOBEAST" emblem to the top of my air cleaner. I'll never be accused of taking myself too seriously. 😆
How about you? What non-essential mods have you made to your Bronco? Some of the simplest mods can make us smile!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

If etsy doesn't have the silly mod we are looking for, then we don't need it.:ROFLMAO:

Matte black grill lights (Oracle)…. Completely unnecessary, completely fun!
I've recently found these on Etsy too they said they can do my color. I do like the stitching but I also like the vertical script I have. Life's tough decisions. Lol.

Got these coasters for the cup holders, yeah, all 2 of them. And we don't get condensation here in NM. @Sven still working on the stickers.

I used this one from Ebay. I had some 7 wire cable that I ran from the grill up to the fuse box area and mounted it inside a small plastic box I had laying around. Right now it is tied to the AUX 6 switch so it only receives power when the vehicle is running and I can keep them off during the day. I also skipped 2 solder pads then 1 then 2 again between each letter since the sequencer is 14 channels. That slowed the flash rate down to an acceptable level. If you solder to pad 1-6 without skipping it flashes super fast.
I've had these since Oracle first shipped and had wired them to the sequencer to make sure everything worked, so I had that part out of the way and tested already. Taking out the grill, removing the stock letters and wiring everything to the Bronco took about 2 hours, including installing the StickerFab overlays. Each trims grill will be a bit different, but I used hot glue and ran the wires inside one of the grooves of the Badlands grill.
I’m thinking I’m going to do this on mine… very cool!

Is the documentation that comes with the corsomotion card helpful? I’m really interested in doing this, and already have the LED lights in place, so just need to add the sequencer…. YouTube is helpful, but may reach out to you about the DIP switch positions when I get into it…
Also, I’m just learning about this stuff, and there’s like a MILLION sizes of plastic boxes to put the PCB into…. Can you share what size you used? I think I will be ordering my card with an attached header, to save a little time on soldering…

If I recall the instructions that come with the board are not much help. I watched this guys video on what the dip switch positions do and the connections to the solder pad are pretty straight forward & pretty simple. That was 2 years ago and I have slept since then so I would probably have to watch his video again too, lol.
.
My dip switches are just on/off/on/off/on/off
The yellow wire was soldered to the Parking control circuit but the yellow and Red are tied together and to my #6 Aux switch for now. I will eventually tie the yellow to my headlight wire and leave the Red connected to the Aux switch. That way if I do not want them to come on I can turn the Aux switch off and when it is On they will only work when the headlights come on. No sense in them being on during the daytime.
A small case like these would be fine. I just used one that I had laying around my hobby room that a servo for one of my RC helicopters was packaged in. It is 3.25X2.50X1.25" in size.
.
If you want to be able to pull the grill out and make it simple use one of the 7 pin waterproof connectors like this near the grill area.
You can use a pc of CAT5e ethernet cable from the grill to the sequencer if you like. The current is very low on the LED lights so you don't need anything to heavy.

One final question and I’ll leave you alone…. Why two reds connecting to the vcc point…. I would think the yellow and black would send the power from the car to the sequencer, which would drive the lights?
Obviously I haven’t done a lot of fine electronics work, but willing to learn stuff…. This looks really fun

The yellow wire is just a trigger wire. You connect it to either the (T)urn signal , (B)rake or (P)arking light circuit via the solder pads on the end. You can obviously use any 12V + source other than what is labeled . I am using the #6 Aux switch currently . The VCC is what powers the board and the positive wire from the Bronco letters are attached to it also. The flashes are controlled by the negative wires soldered to pads 1-14.

Etsy may have just provided my Bronco with the best, silliest, and cheapest mod it will ever get :)
I like that. And I detest people, but they serve a purpose at times.

More from Etsy today . They will make the 3rd brake light decals custom if you like . Everyone knows me by RYDFREE from my biker days so I opted for that.

the three amber lights in the grille.. .I know it's not a Raptor, and it's not wide enough to require these lights... but I like how they look, and tie in nicely with the other lights on the front end.
