I love bronco folks. They are some of the greatest people to share a common interests with...usually, most are as interested in our vehicles as I am. BUT, there is one thing I see here often that drives me crazy (it's a short trip too!)...people calling the bronco a "car". Let's discuss this ever impeding cataclysmic burning question!

It is most definitely not a car, as the definition of a car is "a four-wheeled road vehicle that is powered by an engine and is able to carry a small number of people "
It can not be a truck as the definition of a truck is "a large, heavy motor vehicle used for transporting goods, materials, or troops "
It is certainly not an SUV, as a sport utility vehicle does not describe the Bronco. No offence to people who increase the power capabilities of their Bronco, as I have, but you can not call the Bronco sporty.
So what does that leave us?
Well, you should call it a Bronco, but if you are looking for something else to call it, how about a "off road vehicle"?
Odd, dont know what you've been driving my Bronco definitely transports people and goods. Solved its a truck!

We don't call ours a Rig, Truck, SUV, or Car ..... We simply call ours "The Bronc"
Is that like “the Ohio State”?

Nope, it's a Bronco too. We don't put it down here.
True. The sport is the suv/crossover Bronco and the Bronco is the truck Bronco. It's science.

I hope everyone realizes what a ”first world problem” this topic is covering… But it’s very fun…
I live in the first world. My problems are real enough to me.

Most people can't tell the difference from the side or especially from the rear.
Especially since I don't have a horse badge on the rear anymore.

The Bronco is a Station Wagon. A Station Wagon is a car. It is not a truck. I have owned 4x4’s for over 40 years. Most of them have been Pickup Trucks. I have also owned a 1977 International Scout II and a 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer. Now, I own a 2022 Ford Bronco. All of those vehicles are Station Wagons. Our Broncos are not trucks. They are cars. Deal with it.
Interesting…. I owned a ‘70 Bronco here in Washington and had to pay “tonnage” on it, which means the state viewed it as a truck…. Of course the term SUV hadn’t been coined yet…

Just checked the registration on my ‘23 OBX and there is no tonnage, and the type of vehicle listed is an SUV..

Car, truck, carriage, rig…. The only person who cares is the one behind the wheel…

I just remembered. On a trip to Palm Springs in December, my wife and I were getting out of the bronco when a woman walking down the sidewalk complimented me on my “Van”. I bit my tongue and thanked her. My wife was dying. That was worse than “Jeep” or “car”, for sure

I do call the bronco the buggie sometimes too...so, that counts as acceptable.

"Most people" are why we have warnings on hot beverages and plastic bags so they don't have alot of credibility.

Yes! What if Raptor owners all banded together and told any other Bronco trim they didn't have enough vehicle? People wouldn't feel good. This is a community of love and happiness ☺ 😁
I plan on calling mine, once I get, Warthog. And I'll blame Ford for that.

I think I am going to start calling them "Smart Broncos". I think once there was another vehicle that had "Smart" before it and I don't think that was a car.

It was a go-cart built by Mercedes. If you hit a dog with one, the dog would run away laughing while you were dead.

I like messing with people, a Sport with a 2.3 RS (with a serious tune) in it and Rover badges would be fun.

Jeeps carried troops...
Some states the CJ was considered a 1/4 ton truck, that's how 14 yo could drive them if they had a farm.
I really liked driving the 1/4 tons, but I hated the wipers. Once we got the Hummers things were a lot better.

I hope everyone realizes what a ”first world problem” this topic is covering… But it’s very fun…

I remember being quite young, poor and didn’t know it, and thrilled to go on a road trip with the family (there were nine of us) stuffed into a ‘63 Chevy Station Wagon…. I saw Montana from “the way back”

I sometimes have to laugh at all of us over the things that catch our fancy today…

You folks are AMAZING, and this place is my GOTO to start my day!
