I love bronco folks. They are some of the greatest people to share a common interests with...usually, most are as interested in our vehicles as I am. BUT, there is one thing I see here often that drives me crazy (it's a short trip too!)...people calling the bronco a "car". Let's discuss this ever impeding cataclysmic burning question!

The Bronco is the first truck I've ever owned. I occasionally catch myself calling it "my car," but I quickly correct myself by calling it "my Bronco."

In time I'll come to regard it as "my truck." For years, I only considered pickups "trucks," so it's going to take some effort and a little discipline to break the habit.

Kind of a funny topic, considering I call my F-150 “a Crown Vic with a bed” and many who own superdutys don’t consider F150’s trucks…

Call em what you want… no one is keeping score.

I've a couple of Tundra's called them trucks and F150's called them trucks. The F250 (diesel) is a great truck and really made for towing. Now we are not towing I've been flirting going back to the 150. I'll probably keep the 250 just because it makes more financial sense to keep it for now. We shall see. I am don't place too much on names, brands and size of trucks but I must say driving a 250 has it's perks and the Bronco....well it is the best car I have ever owned...lol

I found the same thing when I went to pick up trucks about 22 years ago. It took me awhile to say truck and not car. It is natural now to say truck for my Bronco. SUV, as mentioned earlier, doesn't even cross my mind.

Same here. I love it. Read a lot of reviews before purchasing. One of the cons for both was that they ride like a truck. Well, yeah? They are made like trucks. If you don't want to call them trucks, just call them Broncos!

I’m a Superduty owner, I resemble that remark!😁 A guy at work bought a Suburban and told me it was HUGE! The next day I parked my 350 next to it and it towered over it. He told me I suck, so I laughed.
After I took the first test drive in a Bronco at the dealership, I told my wife it was definitely a truck.

It is most definitely not a car, as the definition of a car is "a four-wheeled road vehicle that is powered by an engine and is able to carry a small number of people "
It can not be a truck as the definition of a truck is "a large, heavy motor vehicle used for transporting goods, materials, or troops "
It is certainly not an SUV, as a sport utility vehicle does not describe the Bronco. No offence to people who increase the power capabilities of their Bronco, as I have, but you can not call the Bronco sporty.
So what does that leave us?
Well, you should call it a Bronco, but if you are looking for something else to call it, how about a "off road vehicle"?

Hmm I drive a little car daily. I have a 2004 F250 with 5.9 diesel, we have a 22’ Silverado and the Bronco. I can’t call it a truck because it doesn’t have a bed. Usually I call it a Bronco sometimes a rig but if I am lazy I might say car. I don’t care what you call it, just don’t call it cute. LOL😂

The Bronco is a Station Wagon. A Station Wagon is a car. It is not a truck. I have owned 4x4’s for over 40 years. Most of them have been Pickup Trucks. I have also owned a 1977 International Scout II and a 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer. Now, I own a 2022 Ford Bronco. All of those vehicles are Station Wagons. Our Broncos are not trucks. They are cars. Deal with it.

That’s what my vehicle registration says as well, a Station Wagon. Kinda makes me think grocery getter but I love my Bronco and will always call it My Bronco because there is no better way to describe it! 💚💚

Call it how you feel most comfortable!! That’s all that matters anyway!

Real station wagons have wood grain siding.

Yes! What if Raptor owners all banded together and told any other Bronco trim they didn't have enough vehicle? People wouldn't feel good. This is a community of love and happiness ☺ 😁

Ah yes, "love and happiness", that's why we have ME here! 😁

Without reading the last of the posts in this thread, it's a Bronco, or it's a truck. End of story. As for the B-Sport, I either call it a B-Sport or a baby Bronco (like we used to call the Bronco II). Jeeps I still call Jeeps.

Some states the CJ was considered a 1/4 ton truck, that's how 14 yo could drive them if they had a farm.
