Took a rock to the windshield Saturday on the highway, nice little chip on the passenger side. Getting it filled tomorrow. 1,008 mi. Ouch.
… Just submitting my application to the support group. 🤣

I'm on my 2nd windshield. Started with a small chip/crack, which was not repaired correctly (I should have done it myself). Over time it turned into a monster left to right crack. $1000 to fix. Insurance.

I got the crack in my windshield only 3 months into owning my Badlands 3 years ago. I was going a little fast (lol) so the same object hit my windshield twice! A second time after it bounced forward from the first impact. I left it alone to see how many more I would get and not a darn chip since! I just got called out on it by another member in my club so I guess I'll have to replace it sometime soon.😊

Welcome to a club no one likes to be in! I filled a chip a year ago and it's still holding, but another crack straight down the middle is forcing me into a windshield replacement soon (got called out on it and I promised to fix). I hope you have similar success with your chip!

I bought my Badlands in August of last year. Took a rock going down the highway in February. Replaced the windshield within a few days. Not 60 days later, fortune struck again. Smh.

Maybe this one will last longer? I went 4 years without ever having an issue. I'm waiting until my Colorado trip to Super Cel is complete to replace mine and restart the clock. I keep a high deductible on policies, so mine will be about 1k to replace. Gonna keep a chip repair kit in my Bronco as well, that first one I got was on the way to vacation, so I pulled off the highway at the next exit to grab one and then immediately repaired it when I got to my destination.

I'm on 3rd windshield in 4 years I did add a hood deflector and I do think they help. I went 2 years without a chip after install plus my last chip was at off-road park so I do think they help on the road

Hello Windshield Club Members! (Hardly Exclusive Lol)
Let me share some very recent data driven findings! (Also Posted on Bronco6g)
UPDATE ON OUR OEM INSTALLED HOOD BUG ROCK DEFLECTOR UPDATE
- 3 windshields for the first 38K Miles.
- Installed the OEM hood deflector at 38K Miles
- Now >125K Miles and have not had a crack since the 38K Miles (I assume I have jinxed this by sharing...)
Some rock dings but nothing fatal.
Drive to extreme locations with high highway miles in between.
I am not sure if it is a magic bullet, but I do firmly believe it disrupts rock and debris airflow JUST enough to deliver a glancing blow, rather than a windshield terminating impact. (Much better wIth Bugs as well

Hope this is useful. We vouch for the OEM Version

Unbelievably- I just got another rock chip. 1404mi. *rolls eyes*

Doing 55mph on pavement, came from a jeep coming past me in the opposite direction.

Guess I’ll cough up the $$ for the Aeroskin.

I’ve got one on order. Haha. Gonna put it on after this glass breaks and is replaced. At this rate, hopefully the glass makes it til I take delivery of the deflector! 🤣🤣

Three windshields deep on the Raptor and I still haven't bothered with a deflector. Texas highway gravel trucks do more damage than any trail I've been on.

The only surefire way of avoiding windshield replacement is to keep your Bronco in a garage and never drive it. 😜

I've only got 17,349 miles on my Bronco and still have my original windshield. No chips, no cracks, no nothing. Unfortunately, that also means I don't enjoy my Bronco as often as I would like. I walk to work, so perhaps avoiding a daily commute has contributed to my good fortune.

Chris here. I drive "Lebowski," a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch. Lux package. 2.7L V6. Automatic transmission.

Review the user experience for the windshield protectors, they tend to be difficult with polarized glasses. Other than that they look like a great upgrade. My used 23 came with the vinyl bits on the hood with the lip and I have not heard any rock impacts in my 2 or 3 thousand miles of Colorado driving. Winter is coming up though...we will see if my windshield makes it through the Super El Nino winter I pray hits our mountains like mad.
