BLEND DAY. It’s when the body meets the chassis, and a BRONCO is born. Hundreds of people have built thousands of parts, all for the manufacture of this incredibly capable off-road vehicle. It’s a remarkable achievement if you stop to think about it. Yet mine is just one of many. Is anyone here celebrating their Bronco’s birth this week?

I hope people still waiting for their Broncos to get built have theirs scheduled for production soon! I whipped up this silly graphic as a lighthearted way of summarizing my own experience. I only wish getting a Bronco were as simple as pushing a button!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Chris , and everyone else I'm sofreakung excited for you! 😃

I truly appreciate your enthusiasm. It’s contagious, isn’t it? I finally got my rail car number! Now I can stop pestering the Ford live chat people and start using the automated rail tracker. I’m still in Wayne, Michigan. Just sitting on a train waiting for them to scream “All aboard!” And start rolling out! 🚂

Chris, did you get your rail car from the live chat or your Salesman at the dealership? Thinking we might be in the same shipment, as mine is headed for Snohomish

Likely from his dealer at request.
That’s where most all of us got our rail #s.

Edit-
Apparently Live Chat can give that information also.

Yeah, I got the rail car number from the live chat agent. I tried asking the dealer, but they didn't know. They said they can tell me what it is once the information becomes available on their Vehicle Visibility system, but it hadn't yet. Then, by chance, I struck up another convo with a live chat agent on the Ford website, and I nearly fell off my barstool when they told me the number.

I may DM you, @Bluestreak57 to see if we're on the same train/rail car. It would be a freak coincidence, wouldn't it? LOL

I started a conversation with you with my car number… my ETA is a week later so thinking we may not travel together

I just got it, thanks! Actually, we may be on the same train, since it dips south of Seattle on its way through Portland, then heads north. It drops off it's cargo in Kent, a few miles south of me before continuing north. So, your rail car may be one of the trains I see barreling past my office on any given day! :geek:

Remember to only use the automated system not a live person. And be prepared to say the information numerous times before it hears you correctly!🤣

Yeah, we're not on the same train. My status said something about going to Walbridge Village, Ohio and then heading to Chicago clearing on December 22nd. So, I'm a full two days behind you. Who can say who's gonna get what or when given the intricate logistics involved? o_O

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer, acting as a virtual Movie Phone assistant, says "Why don't you just tell me the movie you want to see?"

Mine is not supposed to be at my dealer until years end, so I’m guessing the cars will collect on Chicago and head this way on the same snake…. Interesting to watch it unfold…. Im sure they have to have places to queue rail cars all over the place back there while they get all the ducks lined up.

Went back and listened to the railcar info again…. Chicago clearing is evidently where the cars get handed off from CSX to BRC (guessing Burlington Railroad) though no “ETA” is given. Hoping nothing changes in terms of car number and I can track further once it leaves Illinois…

This is fun. I’m enjoying watching my Bronco make its way home. Right now, it’s in Walbridge, Ohio. Still on track for Chicago this Thursday…

Yeah,
I actually found it really interesting also.
My train headed down to Kentucky from somewhere up there.
I assume the f150 plant . And then headed up to Chicago.
But f150s are a massive market down here.

I got mine by using the Live Chat feature on the Ford website under the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. Open a chat with an agent and tell them your VIN, and they should be able to provide you with a rail car number. It won't be available right away (mine wasn't available until a week after mine was marked "shipped"). Good luck!

Oh, and your dealer is a piece of work. 😤

Thanks @BuckYeah I will have to do that! Yea my dealership said they can’t give that out and that they can only tell me it’s ETA which he said is Jan 10th. Thanks for the info.

Hi Sam,
If you have a VIN you should be able to get the railcar number from live chats. Took me five minutes, and the person I chatted with was very helpful.

That being said, you should also be able to get the information from your dealer. It’s NOT a secret. I’m not sure who your dealer is, but given you’re not getting emails on the progress of your build and shipping, i wonder if your dealer is not familiar with the DORA system or if they are just not being helpful.

Good Luck! We Washingtonians will have to get together once we have our steeds…
