I am new to the forum and am still trying to navigate my way around. I have seen a thread for January 2022 orders and thought it was a great idea and way for those who had ordered in January to get some anecdotal data on timelines for a VIN#, build date, etc. If you have placed an order in February of 2022, I hope you will post and follow this thread.

I placed an order with a local dealer in the Nashville area on 2/1/22. I ordered a Blds, 4dr, Sas, 2.7, MIC, with tow in EG. For what it is worth, the priority code on my build sheet is 13. I was told by the dealer that they had approximately 205 Bronco orders.

Badlands 4 door; Sasquatch; Eruption Green; 2.7; MIC; Tow; MGV; Lux; Modular Bumper; ordered 2/1/22; received production email 3/23/23; production date 4/24/23; Two Rivers Ford Mt. Juliet (Nashville) highly recommend!

I ordered a Big Bend on 2/7/22 and confirmation email on 2/17/22. I ordered no trailer hitch or hard top hoping for a better build date.
I did not get a priority code or an order number in he email. My salesman says he does’t know about either one. Who should I contact?

If you don’t have an order No. issued in an email from Ford, I don’t think you have a Bronco on order . Somebody please tell me if I’m wrong.

The dealer should have given you the DORA “dealer order receipt acknowledgement “ that has the order number on it when you ordered. You would have also gotten a confirmation email from Ford within an hour after ordering. If you don’t have it, just ask your dealer for it.

I ordered from Five Star Ford NRH on 2/25:

Priority code 19, received the confirmation from Ford, no VIN in the first 19 days.

A guy on FB ordered the same (without the MIC top) from the same dealer on November 11, 2021. It was scheduled for production a week later (week of Jan 24 '22) and delivered March 2.

Vins are given when you get scheduled for build week. You could get a VIn in a week if your dealer has allocation and you have no build constraints or it may be next year before you get a VIN. I was lucky enough to get a VIN quickly, but my build date has been moved 6 times since the original build week. I’m hoping to take delivery in May, which would be 6 months for me. Others have been waiting a year and a half and do not have a VIN. This is usually because their dealer doesn’t have enough allocation. causing a wait behind others who have order priority from that dealer , or they have many of the build constraints that we know are an issues. I would set expectations 6 months minimum wait, but be prepared to potentially wait a year and by then you will be looking at 2023 model. Not trying to crush the party but wanted you all to know it’s most likely 6-12 months and you may not get a VIN for months…again, just depending on your build and dealer selection.

Yes it's true that dealers have different allocations, But if you place an order through a dealer and get a confirmation from ford it has nothing to do with the dealers allocations on when you get your VIN #

I ordered from a top 150 dealer. I was told today by the dealer that they have almost 200 ordered Broncos. Is it better to order from a large dealer or a small dealer with lower amount of orders? Or is it purely luck of the draw having a build with low number of hard to get options?

It makes sense for all orders get put in the queue at Ford as they're created no matter which dealer they're from. That would be the easiest way. Then your options determine how long you'll have to wait. But all this is just my opinion.

When I ordered mine the salesman told me which of my options could cause a delay, so I expect a long wait.

Badlands, Cactus Grey, 4Dr, 2.3L, Manual, High Pkg, Tow Pkg, Hard Top/w Roof Rails, Engine Block Heater. Ordered 2/16/22. Recieved scheduled email 1/19/2023 to be built week of March, 20, 2023.

Got my invitation to Bronco Off-Roaodeo today!

But I don't have a VIN so can't even begin the registration process. Still gives me hope though.

I had the same issue. I called and gave my order info over the phone and they verified it. The next day I went back on to the website and I was able to register…..NH here I come (wish I would be driving my new bronco to the event in July, but very I likely).

I was given a 4 digest order number and a 19 code.
Big Bend with 2.7 and a upgrade package…everything else I can buy at the dealer. I thought safe. 19 does it apply to dealer‘s ability to fill my order…more ahead of me, or his allocation? I have no idea.

Who told you that? Allocation is the NUMBER ONE constraint of when you may get your vehicle, second parts constraints. This has been discussed ad nauseam on all the Bronco forums and has been repeated several times by Ford. You will not get a VIN until you get scheduled and if your way down on your dealers list and he is only allocated to say 10 a month, you would not be getting a VIN for months. Every order is a dealer order and there are some here that have been waiting since January 2021 to get a VIN and many of them are because a few dealers sold 300-600 units and are getting 10-20 Bronco’s a month.

On average, we have received approximately 10 Broncos per month scheduled and we expect this to continue for the remainder of the 2022 Model Year.

In an effort to improve our allocation, we have attempted to order additional Bronco Sports for our lot, opted into paying for displays and other Bronco swag from Ford, and anything else we could. We are hoping to see a positive change in our allocation for Model Year 2023.

The way it works, your in a que at the dealer you selected. That is why there are Day 1 July 2020 time stamp reservationists that don’t have a vin or a build 20 months later. Dealers oversold the allocation and many believed, based on what Ford said, they would be built in time stamp order. Ford never said at the dealer you selected, everyone just assumed that would be the case. Then Ford changed their allocation process, I’m sure because of dealer backlash, which put a lot of customers in a bad spot. This was because the dealer oversold and were not given additional allocation based on selling more Bronco’s.
