Hey everyone,

First time poster here. Just received my 4 door Base Bronco/Antimatter Blue (soft top) over the weekend and I'm over the moon excited. It has lived up to all of the hype and anticipation, IMO.

I know there are a lot of threads here on the topic, but I'm yet to see an official answer (so sorry if I missed it somewhere)...has anyone installed a rail on the dash yet? And if so, do you have a link to the product?
I know the Picatinny rail has been discussed, but not sure if one actually works or exists yet - or if anyone has actually installed it.
This truck is going to be a problem for me accessory wise (bye bye $$$), so I thought I'd start with something that I actually need.

Thanks for your info!

I'm not drilling into my dash o_O lol. Just thinking about how awkward it would be to get a drill into that spot makes me shiver. There's gotta be a non-drill solution.
It's attached using the center factory locations, the ends are the issue that 67D uses screws and AR just has rubber feet I believe. SO if that's the case just use rubber stoppers on 67D.

  • Some drilling required. Fastener hardware included. um... pass.
I ordered the AR. Bam. I will let you all know how it is.

I just cant see drilling into a 60k Bronco's dash to save 200.00....
So true. I had to drill into the inside of the bumper to install ford’s mud flaps in a spot you couldn’t even see - and even that made me squeamish.

LOL I'm using a $60k vehicle to chase storms. But since they are aluminum I don't really see a need for the ends drilled if the center is good or maybe they dont trust Fords center connections

The AR looks like it uses a curved design that uses pressure for the ends to stay and the locations on the dash that are recessed. The 67D might need the screws to keep the ends down. as well as the location of the ends aren't as far out.

@1Five1 Garage when you get your BAM installed mind taking a few pics and providing some feedback? Looks like a great solution, a bit expensive, but pretty darn nice. I am assuming you have a number of items you are mounting here which is the reason you went with the BAM as opposed to the Tap.

I can do better then that. I will do a video on it. Also showing what we use it for. Doing YouTube we need to have options for placement.

lol. Thanks. we try to have fun with it and do all the mods ourselves to give people a perspective of what to expect. Plus it was something Jill wanted to do this when she was still fighting cancer

I bought the AR Tap and the quality is unmatched. I decided not to go with the BAM just yet as I'm hoping in the future they will do anodized colors and then I might buy the longer BAM.

I just looked at the BAM light mounts. Nice looking but spendy, $129 for the swivel and $55 for the Bronco bracket

Ok. Finally made time to install my 67D Bronco Rail. Have to say I’m impressed with the design. It’s nicely made and sits well on the dash. They do use a couple self tapping screws on the ends using an indentation on the dash to keep the rail from swinging as ford only has the one center mount 1/4 -20 hole. Took only about 10 min to install once you read through the instructions. Feels very solid once everything is tightened down. They are doing limited production now. You can email them to get on the list.

It requires drilling your dash unfortunately. Ugly as H also imo. But the price is right.
Not sure what you think is ugly, and there are two self short tapping screws that help keep the rail from pivoting on the center mount, once it’s done it’s solid. And looks clean.
