Hey everyone,

First time poster here. Just received my 4 door Base Bronco/Antimatter Blue (soft top) over the weekend and I'm over the moon excited. It has lived up to all of the hype and anticipation, IMO.

I know there are a lot of threads here on the topic, but I'm yet to see an official answer (so sorry if I missed it somewhere)...has anyone installed a rail on the dash yet? And if so, do you have a link to the product?
I know the Picatinny rail has been discussed, but not sure if one actually works or exists yet - or if anyone has actually installed it.
This truck is going to be a problem for me accessory wise (bye bye $$$), so I thought I'd start with something that I actually need.

Thanks for your info!

With my build week now being 9/6 I got motivated to solve this problem. I plan to go with RAM Mounts with a Tough Track rail attached to the Accessory Ready point. I will get a ¼ x 20 bolt to secure the rail and cushion each end for support with some sort of adhesive backed foam. In the attached pic I have the components that I plan to purchase. Note I said plan; I won't know if it works until I receive my Bronco, but I am pretty confident. Hope this helps. The devices are from the Ram Mount website.

How wide is the rail? The mounting spot sits right on the edge of the dash which has the tray cutouts. That’s the only issue I could see with building something like this. I wonder if it will balance there along the edge.

The rail I plan to get is 12" wide but they have different lengths. I have seen the pics of the dash and I know what you mean about the placement and the cutouts. The rail should be rigid if secured well in the middle and I hope the cushion on the ends will support it laterally. I may just order the rail first and the phone mount to see how the mounting goes. We are definitely on the bleeding edge of modifications with this Bronco.

On my OBX, there's a power point on top of the dash right behind the accessory mount

I preordered Archetype’s smooth BYOD rail and rock rail-compatible side steps. I cannot wait to get them. Judging by the shop owner’s customer service and claimed specs (100% billet alum) they’re worth the price and the wait.

Looks cool, but why is it so short? Especially for that price…

They have a TAP and BAM. Maybe the BAM more to your liking. Spans the entire width. I guess I don’t have too much stuff to mount!

But the wording on their website makes me think it's the Bronco Team handling this too...

We are using a pre-registration process in order to better manage demand inline with how fast we can make them.

Each system order will be configured with the help of a Customer Service team member.

It requires drilling your dash unfortunately. Ugly as H also imo. But the price is right.

Yea, you can leave it like the AR which is just a factory center connection. But I'm guessing they include that as anything on the sides will move or bounce is my guess

I'm not drilling into my dash o_O lol. Just thinking about how awkward it would be to get a drill into that spot makes me shiver. There's gotta be a non-drill solution.

I ordered the AR. Bam. I will let you all know how it is.

I just cant see drilling into a 60k Bronco's dash to save 200.00....
