It's almost time for our next BN Live which will take place on March 8th at 8pm ET! We are thrilled to announce our special guest for next week, Mike Levine! For those not familiar, Mike serves as the Ford North America Product Comms Director. We anticipate a very high volume of questions so will be collecting most of the questions ahead of time here in this forum thread and on social media. If you have a question, drop it below! If your question has already been asked in the thread, simply like it/heart it/whatever and that will serve as an "up-vote".

Friendly reminder: Please keep them appropriate and respectful. Mike does not control Bronco production so "where's my Bronco" is not productive nor can he answer that so it will not be asked :). Questions don't have to be related to Bronco either, let your imaginations run wild.

We are excited to have him and hope you are too!

It wasn't a strong bashing, just calling out my dislike for whistling light bars 😅 I have a developmental issue, so I pick up on those kinds of things and favor the brands that don't whistle. Not everyone is sensitive to sounds, however, so I get why some people aren't bothered.

Wait, why would that matter?
Because the last time BN had the Live Stream I grabbed some snacks and maybe a couple Brewskis, then I was waiting for my Question to be asked and I watched the whole show, and my question never got asked, then I realized that I never asked a question “my bad” so my question never got asked because I was always on the Libations Thread asking questions “my bad again.” 🤣……
Well now I’ve been spreading my wings and showing up in some of the other Threads, this is my rehabilitation program so I’m not always on one Thread! 😀

I don’t think Jordan will ask my question anyways, because I’m sure he’s well aware of that I hang out at the Bar Thread with all my Bar Fly Buddies, as of a matter of fact I think Everybody knows I hang out there……🤣

Your question on FPP is like #3 on my list so it will be asked and we actually went a few steps further to get some more detail on it so we can provide some more accurate detail. No issue with the bar thread, even with the name calling and bashing of @Laura and I ;) I've heard it all on the internet, I aint bothered.
@Laura was being bashed?? When did Laura ever get based in Libations or name calling there?
Geesh guess I missed a day at the bar then

Mike isn't responsible for the roll-out on the technical side. Thats a tech issue with the team who handles OTA updates, of which Mike does not. Mike doesnt know why your Bronco won't update. He manages the entire North American line-up of vehicles. This sentiment that he is solely responsible for every issue with Bronco is just baffling to me. Anyways, enjoy your evening and catch ya on the next one!
I'm feeling as though you are cherry picking my comments. Like I said, it was Mike who made the announcement that the feature was coming, without any details of how or when the update would be released.

Does the team who handle OTA updates have a twitter I should follow instead? Are they allowed, per their confidentiality agreements, to communicate directly to customers? I'm guessing not, since I've never come across them on twitter before, and they would be insanely popular if they were there. So, the responsibility for this particular communication falls on the shoulders of the Ford employee who was authorized to make the announcement. That's Mike.

What were customer's reactions to Mike's post? Just go look at Bronco6G. Lots of confusion. Lots of blind troubleshooting of the wifi settings to get the update to work. Someone discovered that the update happened when they took the Bronco in for service. So that lead others to do the same. Now we have customers who are taking Broncos in for warrenty service that didn't need to occur.

If Boeing came to me and asked me to post a teaser about an upcoming change to a pilot's electronic flight bag, I wouldn't communicate anything to the pilots until I knew I could answer basic questions about the change. In my line of work, I communicate product release notes every single week. I would be walked out the door if my communication was simply 'coming soon' without any context and instructions to my customers.

It is basic public communication skills to know your audience, anticipate questions, and provide as much useful information as possible.

That's just one example at the absolute poor planning Ford puts into communication with customers.

I have a lot of empathy for Bronco Nation staff since I know that you are just as much at the mercy of the Ford corporate machine as we are. I don't take you to task for not being able to answer questions, and I recognize the hard work that you and your team put into this. But in my eyes, Mike is the Ford corporate machine that isn't doing anyone any favors. And you haven't given me any reason to believe differently.

I didn't say anything about the light bar I was talking about the script, but I do have a funny story about stuff on the roof that whistles.

I've explained my brain background to my team and they know that I said that the bars that whistle bother me, which is where my favor of other brands comes in and this all started for me. I won't speak for him, but I chose to come to BN because I viewed the people already working here as very respectful of me and how they stand up for each other.

This goes to why I'm excited to get to know Mike more tonight. I like the people aspect of the community and view us and them at Ford as individuals. I'm ready to understand more about his role at Ford and what led him to it tonight. I'm hoping to understand the company better after this stream.

It has come to my attention that my comments in the last live stream were considered offensive. I said “the Bronco Script has become the new tramp stamp.” I was referring to the similarities of tagging all our vehicles with a similar design and location. Just as the tramp stamp fad of the mid to late 90’s were done in a similar tribal style in one’s lower backs.

I was not inferring anything about the Bronco owners or their vagrancies.

Please feel free to use the Bronco script as often you like.
