I’m right there with you. I’ve struggled to put together a response to him being invited onto Bronco Nation’s Livestream. All I want to do is yell.

Ford’s communication started out horrible and continues to gets worse. We still have to rely on forum members to untangle official Ford communications, like the $2500 offer. Or price protection. Or COVP procedures.

If he is a communications director, what does he direct? Where can I see examples of his leadership? What has he improved?

I highly doubt that Bronco Nation will ask Mike the hard questions about Ford’s abysmal communication, and Mike’s accountability for that. So I’m skipping this livestream.

Guess you'll have to tune in and see. We have the privilege of this platform to allow forum members to interact directly with Ford personnel and put them on the hot seat as you've done with the two more recent Bronco Brand Managers. If BN only talked to people that were unanimously liked, we'd have no one on our streams. Why don't you join and ask him your questions yourself? Maybe it'll shed some light on your frustrations and give you some insight you didn't have previously. Usually when we have a face-to-face chat with someone, it ends up better than just making broad assumptions towards people we've never talked with.

The Long McArthur audience would like to ask these questions:
1. When will dealers see the order guide for the 24MY Ranger, when can we order them, and when will Raptor launch? (That might be more for me, lol)
2. When will we see the Off Road (Ford Performance) in FordPass, as promised by Ford at Bronco launch?
3. How Will the Thunder for the Maverick and Ranger be used?
4. When order banks open for Bronco will there be any trims not available, other than HE Limited and Raptor (unless there is dealer allocations)? Will HE and EG be available?
I'm sure I will come up with more tomorrow night.

I have heard that it is a very nice app to use, “however” I have found Gaia is also a very nice app and for what I use it for it has no charge, and I can still record tracks and add waypoints to the map and name them without costing me a penny and it too shows up on the infotainment screen through apple car play.
When I did a Bronco Meet up with about 9 other Bronco owners I found that about half use the OnX Off-road and the other half use Gaia GPS Trail maps, they are both good trail map apps, I guess to each of their own in what you like, because they are both pretty comparable.
I just would really like to know is if this Ford Pass Performance is even ever coming out or not, it would be nice to have it come out and give it a try!

This reminds me of another Mike Levine faux pas. He announced back in October that full screen Apple Car Play was on the way. But didn’t provide any details on how to get the update or when to expect it. There is a huge thread over on Bronco6G where users were troubleshooting the update and trying to figure out how to invoke the download. I don’t think my update landed until late January.

Why tease us with updates like the Ford Navigation app and then leave it to users to fill in the gaps through trial and error? Why is so much pertinent information crowd sourced from rumors and leaks, rather than directly from Ford?

A dealership on one of my Bronco Facebook groups has started a private chat and is informing users that 2023 order banks are opening soon. They are asking people to contact their sales reps because they believe they’ll have a short window.

Message from Ford? Crickets.

This reminds me of another Mike Levine faux pas. He announced back in October that full screen Apple Car Play was on the way. But didn’t provide any details on how to get the update or when to expect it. There is a huge thread over on Bronco6G where users were troubleshooting the update and trying to figure out how to invoke the download. I don’t think my update landed until late January.

Why tease us with updates like the Ford Navigation app and then leave it to users to fill in the gaps through trial and error? Why is so much pertinent information crowd sourced from rumors and leaks, rather than directly from Ford?

I don’t know of this issue, I must have missed something…..
However I have the MY 2023 Bronco and I have the full screen Apple Car Play but I don’t know if this is only pertaining to the 12” screen or the 8” I do have the 8” infotainment system and like I said no problems with full screen.
Back in 2021 Ford should have come out and just told us that there will be a Ford Pass Performance app coming out sometime in the near future, instead of telling us that it will be out late 2021 then as we all know they told us late 2022, why keep the guessing games going for each year and getting us all hyped up just to then pull the carpet from under us and start the whole process over again.
The best thing that Ford could have done was not to say anything and surprise us with the FPA, or like I said say that in the near future a Trail map will be coming out.
I am just tired of the piece of carrot dangling in front of us like we are Rabbits and can’t get to it!

Naw, I'm good. I have a garage full of parts that I need to get installed on the Bronco. I join the livestreams for fun and enjoyment - and I witnessed enough of Mike's comments on twitter to know that I won't leave the livestream in a good mood. That isn't worth my time today.

Mike isn't responsible for the roll-out on the technical side. Thats a tech issue with the team who handles OTA updates, of which Mike does not. Mike doesnt know why your Bronco won't update. He manages the entire North American line-up of vehicles. This sentiment that he is solely responsible for every issue with Bronco is just baffling to me. Anyways, enjoy your evening and catch ya on the next one!

Your question on FPP is like #3 on my list so it will be asked and we actually went a few steps further to get some more detail on it so we can provide some more accurate detail. No issue with the bar thread, even with the name calling and bashing of @Laura and I ;) I've heard it all on the internet, I aint bothered.

I have never been bothered by people being critical of the Raptor. I think the fender flares are awful. I think the vehicle is wildly impractical as a daily driver but is exceptional off-road. Bash it all you want, I didn't design it lol. I've said publicly the fender flares are ugly. The script is my opinion, you can agree or disagree, people ask for my opinion and then are stunned when they get my opinion. The world would be really boring if we all liked the same things. And people did bash her for the light bar comments.

Beat me to it. Perhaps my frustrations came across strongly, and that’s not intended to be aimed at anyone here on BN. The exact opposite, actually. This place and the community we have here, helped me get through the frustration and anger as we all dealt with Fords inept communications. And THAT is where my frustrations are. Not solely with the X plan situation, or chip constraints, or MIC constraints and production issues, or tow package constraints, or poor initial development of the B&P tool , or confusion about FordPass points, or any of the numerous other issues through the process. My primary frustration lies in the absolute lack of clarity in communications as all of us were going along on this roller coaster ride that started in July 2020. Ford (and specifically their COMMUNICATIONS team) had a huge opportunity to stay engaged with us here at BN and on the other forum where most of the rabid enthusiasts were just waiting for information. They failed at doing that. MIKE LEVINE failed at doing that. They (he) proved to all of us that we DO. NOT. MATTER. Ford will continue with or without us. Our loyalty means nothing to them.

Yes, I am glad I finally have my bronco and I absolutely love it. My friends and family think I’m crazy. I’m thankful for this amazing community here at BN. But in my opinion, Levine is the enemy.

Someone must have been really drinking then, I don’t remember that happening……. “Oh No” was I that drunk? 🤣

I can't even imagine having gone through this disastrous process without the BN. Just imagine how many people went though this ford self inflicted process, without the well managed info on the BN. Imagine having to rely on the sales person, dealers or ford's own customer service, for all the information and support we got on the BN. It would have been like the dark ages.
