Hello all!

The Bronco Brand team has agreed to sit down with us next week for LIVE Q&A during the Woodward Dream Cruise... and have agreed to take your questions! So, if you have any questions for the Brand Manager, Asst. Brand Manager, etc. please let them in this thread and we will ask as many as we can. As always, please keep them respectful. Topics can cover anything but MY24 is obviously the newest update.

Let 'em rip below!

1. What does it take to have oil Temperature added into the gauges screen. It could be added into the Ford Calibration upgrade even if we had to add hardware sending unit to the engine block.
2. The rear seat of the 4 door should fold up. Give us the hardware to change it please.
3. Gas lid should lock especially since there is no gas cap.

Probably not Bronco Brand Team questions, but I'll throw it out there anyways.

Being that WE are the beta testers on a completely new vehicle, ask them:

1. Why didn't they give a longer bumper to bumper warranty? (Yes, my blown rear shock at 42k miles is what prompted this question).

2. When is the (affordable) V8 coming? 😁 You read that right, don't want Ford to drop a V8 in there and be like Jeep selling it for $80k+. We don't need 600 hp. Just a reliable V8 with 325-400 hp.

3. (gonna love this one) Why doesn't Ford "lower" the price on the Bronco to undercut Jeep and actually steal the market? Seems Ford raises prices, Jeep follows suit, Ford raises again. What ever happened to competition being great for the consumer? You can't tell me that 3 model years in the Bronco has got better, it's just more expensive.

Now with all that said I still love my Bronco, don't want to drive anything else. But Ford has been getting on my nerves lately as well. Making it hard to want to be a repeat customer, hard to justify selling my wife's Jeep to get her a Bronco (which she likes, but she herself can't justify the crazy prices when her Jeep is almost paid off). Ford needs to remember, we aren't buying luxury vehicles here, especially not from Ford.

Ooooooo fun. I could probably come up with a billion, but I'll restrict myself.

  1. Was the decision to limit Big Bend to the 2.3L and take away the 2.3L automatic on Badlands more about providing a better differentiation between the "upper" trims and "lower" trims?? Or was there some other reason?? Perhaps multiple reasons??
  2. How much does sharing an assembly plant with the Ranger impact the decisions you have to make as a brand team??
  3. Was there a trim/package/option that ended up being less popular than you expected?? Likewise, is there a trim/package/option that ended up being more popular than you anticipated??
  4. How hard is it to balance the desires of the Bronco/off-road enthusiasts and the desires of the everyday customer??
  5. When you're looking at sales data, have you noticed that some trims/configs are more popular in certain areas of the country?? If so... can you share some examples??
  6. Oh... I guess this is probably an important question: What does the brand team actually do??

All interesting info, but won't tell you what was on orders or reservations that were canceled. out of the 190k reservations 70k or so were canceled. We will never know the real numbers.

I GOT MORE:

  1. Something the the brand team has done since launch was really push aftermarket accessories. Does the team have any guidelines they follow to ensure the aftermarket stays robust and in-the-loop with future changes??. Are there certain accessories Ford will not develop in-house because the team feels the aftermarket can simply do it better??
  2. How does the team receive feedback?? Does the brand team secretly (or not so secretly) hang around the Bronco forums?? Do they get feedback from dealers?? Do you talk to owners during Bronco events?? All of the above?? Just curious how the information flows.

Any the questions I know won't get answered but I'm going to ask them anyway:

  1. We saw rumors of a Bronco "Work" and "Premium Luxury" variant awhile back. Any updates??
  2. Ya know.... the Wrangler 4xe is selling pretty well... I think you know where this question is going.
  3. One of the major markets for the Bronco in the 1980s was Australia. Given Australia has a big culture around off-roading and overlanding, any plans on bringing a right-hand drive variant to market??
  4. Can you share the MT-88 manual with the Ranger team?? Please and thank you.
  5. Can we get "Cannot talk about future product" t-shirts?? Or is that a future product that cannot be talked about?? 😜

1 makes too much sense, never happen
2 this is where its heading, they will make a mess of the ICE Bronco purposely (doing a good job already)to force buyers into the EV.
4 again makes too much sense so it won't happen.

All this. Especially the bumper to bumper. I've been driving the wheels off and just crossed the 2/3 threshold. (16 mos. in) I can't stop driving and exploring but am tempted to only drive to work until I'm closer to 3 years with all the bugs there have been.

Just over 12 months with over 32,000 miles. I bought Ford’s extended warranty. Time will tell if they honor it.

Will there be any updates for the dash instrumentation.... The Tachometer especially.... Worse design I have ever seen. It would be nice to have more customization in how we view the dash... Broncos are all about customizing. That is your market. People can and do personalize more than anything else (other than Jeep).... That is why the Bronco is popular.

1. Will there be a winch package available on badlands 2dr with a lux in my24 ?
2. Any chance of a larger gas tank for a 2 door in my24 ?
3. Will there be bluecruise in Bronco in my24 ?
4. Is the painted top with removable side windows coming in 24 ?

Does Brand management have a list of vendors who’s products will/won’t effect warranty? Say someone upgrades their suspension, does it automatically nullify all or part of the factory warranty or the Ford extended warranty?

That is one number that has stayed consistent since the beginning. 190 K reserved, 120K actually placed their orders when the order banks opened, but who knows how many cancelled after all of the issues began.

I GOT ANOTHER ONE!!

The new "robust steering gear" that's now standard on Badlands and Wildtrak for 2024MY. Is that the same steering gear that was previously included as part ot HOSS 3.0?? Or is that something totally different??

Might be more of an engineering question than a brand team question, but hoping someone from the brand team is spying on this thread and will be able to track down an answer for us.

+1 on "robust steering gear"
+1 on factory winch
+1 larger gas tank for a 2 door in my24 ?

Factory winch would be easier if they didn't have the intercooler to deal with. NA engines don't need intercoolers hint hint wink wink

will they make the Bronco "Snorkel ready" in MY24? Looks like the Defender and Land Cruiser have/will have options for this.

Seems like they can just use all the under hood bits from the Glades, and just use the non-snorkel air box. This way you just need to get the snorkel airbox and cut a hole and you got it. plus you would only need one part for the Bronco and not different parts for each trim.

Also will this be the Last year of the Everglades? since it is limited production.

My hot take: Only reason why Everglades returned was because the 2024 Wrangler offers an optional winch option from the factory, and Ford wanted to say they had a factory winch option too.

On a completely unrelated topic πŸ˜‰ :

To original impression we got for the Everglades is that it would be a 1 or 2 year special edition trim. Did the Everglades make a return to challenge the Wrangler's factory option?

Non-verbal winks and nods are an acceptable answers to this question.

Alright I better stop coming up with questions before I dip too far into the "difficult topics" category. Someday I would love to have candid conversations with the Bronco team about the questions/topics everyone wants answers to that we'll never get answers too (like V8 on Bronco). I got a feeling they too would love to talk about it if it were not for the fortress built of layers upon layers of corporate red tape nonsense that hamstrings what they can and cannot say.

When I talked with the Ford Rep at Merus he said they were going to bring the Everglades back this year and try to market it a little better and see how sales go but being a limited production makes me wonder if you are right about the winch option.
