Hello all!

The Bronco Brand team has agreed to sit down with us next week for LIVE Q&A during the Woodward Dream Cruise... and have agreed to take your questions! So, if you have any questions for the Brand Manager, Asst. Brand Manager, etc. please let them in this thread and we will ask as many as we can. As always, please keep them respectful. Topics can cover anything but MY24 is obviously the newest update.

Let 'em rip below!

Here’s mine;

1. Why did Ford not offer the Sta Bar disconnect on the Sasquatch package?

2. Why did Ford not build all 6th Gen Broncos with the traditional shaped wheel wells like on the Everglades and Heritage trims?
Was it an afterthought or part of the master plan?

Coming from the Corvette world where we knew complete production numbers. My question for them is: Will we be able to know production numbers for 2021 Ford Broncos as defined by 2dr vs 4dr, manual vs automatic, ect? I've emailed the Ford corporate team yet never get a response. I plan to keep my bronco forever so it would be cool to know what production number total mine was.

+1 on RNS's 2. Why did Ford not build all 6th Gen Broncos with the traditional shaped wheel wells like on the Everglades and Heritage trims?

1 is the manual trans going to return, if so when?

2 when they do a refresh will the manual trans get a usable tachomter?

My Sasquatch has the stabar disco? It’s based on trim, not options. Badlands has it. WT doesn’t.

Are you concerned about the number of abandoned orders you’ve got, and why don’t you give the customer the option to just cancel an order directly. And do you think customers who have been waiting on orders for multiple years would have gotten their vehicles faster if Ford knew which orders have been abandoned so they could prioritize them lower?

You get Sta bar disconnect with Badlands. With or without Sasquatch

Ooooooo fun. I could probably come up with a billion, but I'll restrict myself.

  1. Was the decision to limit Big Bend to the 2.3L and take away the 2.3L automatic on Badlands more about providing a better differentiation between the "upper" trims and "lower" trims?? Or was there some other reason?? Perhaps multiple reasons??
  2. How much does sharing an assembly plant with the Ranger impact the decisions you have to make as a brand team??
  3. Was there a trim/package/option that ended up being less popular than you expected?? Likewise, is there a trim/package/option that ended up being more popular than you anticipated??
  4. How hard is it to balance the desires of the Bronco/off-road enthusiasts and the desires of the everyday customer??
  5. When you're looking at sales data, have you noticed that some trims/configs are more popular in certain areas of the country?? If so... can you share some examples??
  6. Oh... I guess this is probably an important question: What does the brand team actually do??

1. What does it take to have oil Temperature added into the gauges screen. It could be added into the Ford Calibration upgrade even if we had to add hardware sending unit to the engine block.
2. The rear seat of the 4 door should fold up. Give us the hardware to change it please.
3. Gas lid should lock especially since there is no gas cap.

Are you going to try to get more flex out of the Bronco to get closer to the Jeep?
Are you going to beef up the braking points of the current version like the steering rack, tie rod ends, diffs, and axles?
The radio needs much updating and tuning? This to me a minor issue, rather more tuned toward off-road capabilities.

Describe the impact the aftermarket has on Ford’s research and development for future Broncos. Especially in steering and lift upgrades that fix perceived weaknesses?

How does the brand team measure their success for 2023?

How does the brand team deal with negative dealership behavior? Do you feel at odds with dealers?

How much research was done to eliminate the window frame doors? I was told it was done so it was easier to store the doors in the truck. I would like to see the numbers of how many folks take the doors off, and then what percent of them are done on the trail. The window up and down when you open/close the door is really annoying, and a point of failure.

Since @Ford Motor Company won't do it, is there a world where Bronco Brand Management could take the Bronco as a separate division and offer direct to customer orders/sales???

Could there be a Bronco Brand Management (add on) part update to give the door windows some support and owner confidence? Seriously these things sound like a boxers dentures. With cross winds they sound like they're going to give up the fight and even on occasion lower themselves just so slightly while in cross winds while driving and won't go up all the way without pulling over turning the truck off opening/closing Door and restarting.

V8?!?!

Any truth to the reports of manufacturing delays being due to Broncos "truly being built that wild" ?

I GOT MORE:

  1. Something the the brand team has done since launch was really push aftermarket accessories. Does the team have any guidelines they follow to ensure the aftermarket stays robust and in-the-loop with future changes??. Are there certain accessories Ford will not develop in-house because the team feels the aftermarket can simply do it better??
  2. How does the team receive feedback?? Does the brand team secretly (or not so secretly) hang around the Bronco forums?? Do they get feedback from dealers?? Do you talk to owners during Bronco events?? All of the above?? Just curious how the information flows.

Any the questions I know won't get answered but I'm going to ask them anyway:

  1. We saw rumors of a Bronco "Work" and "Premium Luxury" variant awhile back. Any updates??
  2. Ya know.... the Wrangler 4xe is selling pretty well... I think you know where this question is going.
  3. One of the major markets for the Bronco in the 1980s was Australia. Given Australia has a big culture around off-roading and overlanding, any plans on bringing a right-hand drive variant to market??
  4. Can you share the MT-88 manual with the Ranger team?? Please and thank you.
  5. Can we get "Cannot talk about future product" t-shirts?? Or is that a future product that cannot be talked about?? 😜

Here is a question way out of left base:

I owned a Jeep for two years, and I’ve owned my Bronco for one year. While I have made several new Bronco friends this year, I’ve made a magnitude more Jeep friends than I ever did when I owned a Jeep.

It seems like Bronco and Jeep Corporate are still trying to stay in their own lanes with official events.

Is there any effort or initiatives to try and cooperate with the competition, for the betterment of the off-road community as a whole?
