2023 Bronco wildtrak hardtop wind noises

Just received my Bronco Wildtrak yesterday. Race RED , fully loaded sound deadening hardtop. I have never been a jeep person, but I am very slowly warming upto this Wildtrak. My daily driver is usually a F 150 37 package raptor, and that is like being in a well insulated bank vault. The only thing that I do not like about the bronco is when I hit 60 MPH and beyond there is a distinct whistling noise coming from the passengers side front and rear area I believe where the window slides up into the rubber roof seal when you close the door. It does not seem to do it on the drivers side. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this in there 4 door hardtop bronco ? And if so, is there any fix to this. This is the only thing that could push me away from keeping it. Other than that I love it, but unfortunately I spend enough time on the highway that it could keep me from keeping it.

The other question I have is are there any tunes that can be done to achieve more horsepower and torque that will not void the Ford Warranty. I started looking at STEEDA, but I was wondering if there was any others. And I am going to assume that even the bronco raptor will have the hardtop wind noises ?

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thank You.
Big Papa, Deano Bronc

For what I spent in my high end badlands, I wasn’t expecting so much wind noise or a cardboard interior.
Wait, a Jeep Wrangler interior is any different? The Bronco is a dirt bike and has the interior to match.

Take a look at brand Raptor from it's beginning to now. Show me a more coveted truck brand/trim.

You can easily have the conversation with 392 owners. Jeep throws money at the 1/4 mile. Ford puts the money underneath. In the end putting the engineering where Ford has pays off with more capability in the product.

Ford built the Bronco Raptor on the branding and engineering of truck. Could it be junk, sure, time will tell.
Take rate on the Ranger Raptor will be the tell tale...

The Bronco is orders of magnitude louder than a Wrangler of the same year.Next year’s Wrangler has even more soundproofing and acoustic front glass.
Non-lab controlled loudness tests of Wranglers and Broncos you can find on the internet show both are around 70dB - 75dB at highway speed.

More facts not in evidence. You should work for Ford marketing. I’m done wasting my time on this.
The evidence is in the off road performance.

Everyone let’s be honest, if you are looking at the best all around build quality and getting what you pay for you buy Toyota/Lexus.

Period.

Especially Lexus.

Well I owe everyone on this forum and ford motor company an apology. I feel like a real jackass.

I decided to take the bronco to my local touchless car wash. When the high pressure rinse came on I noticed a little bit of water dripping down just above me. Guess what ?

The roof latches just above me where turned the wrong way, both of them.

I tightened them up and this bronco is just as , or should I say almost as quiet as my f 150 raptor.

I am going to drive this the rest of the weekend and if no other surprises pop up I think this will become my new daily driver.

Very impressed with the quietness considering the doors and roof come off.

Why wouldn't you take it back to dealer for fix?

I posted a link to the weatherstripping I used around the sides (that works super well), just be aware that a soft top won’t click and latch until you take it off in the spring. It can be a bit of a pain to get off too.

Understandable and acceptable to some, but I feel like if you are paying anywhere from $ 50,000.00 to $ 95,000.00 ( bronco raptor) a customer should not have to experience any type of noise or water leak from a hardtop whether the top is removable or not. Absolutely unexusable, especially after producing these for 2 years at this point knowing that you had quality control issues.

Need to buy a Land Rover, etc. They don't really care about your feelings, just your money...whoa, whoa feelings.

The 24 Jeeps have acoustic front glass and extra sound proofing. And ive been super impressed with how much they actually care about delivering a quality vehicle.

Will tell the story once more here - wife had a handful of small problems with her new 23 Gran. Chrysler made sure they got fixed, gave us a free 8y/125k service plan and sent us a check for $2200 - they’re also bumping my 24 392 to the front of the line. never been so blown away.

Man maybe it is because I am getting older, but back in the day I was exposed to driving around in old Scouts, Broncos, Jeeps, Land Cruisers and even Land Rover Defenders. But they were all rattle cans. This this is much quieter than I actually expected and thank god no leaks! For what it is and what I use and intend to use it for, I am all good with it. I definitely did not have on rose colored glasses when I signed up for this. For me I have zero buyer’s remorse. I hope it stays that way.

I just finally read the whole thread and I am happy that @WildsheepGS4, the original author of this thread actually found some answers to his questions. I am happy that he is happy now with his purchase. So now that is settled is there any chance we could put petty behavior behind us for a few weeks until some ”real” Bronco crisis arises? There are people who have bad experiences and some have good ones. Some people are happy and content with what they have purchased and some aren’t. For some they had a different idea of what they were purchasing and others knew exactly what they were getting. For some they will keep their Bronco long term and some will decide it isn’t for them. Both can be mutually acceptable. That being said, I find it particularly distressing watch members go after each other over things that in the big picture mean nothing. How about we all just take a breath and move on? I hate to burst all your bubbles but it really isn’t that important to be right all the time.

I just reread the entire thread too, to see if my posts were petty (they weren't). But now rereading the posts from the OP and the BN member buying a 392, I think this thread really is just two Jeep buddies giving all of us real Bronco owners some poop [polite word used]. Maybe it is just one Mopar enthusiast. Perhaps we've been played. Lol.

Don't think so. Nice try though.

I agree with you 100 percent. I am very happy with my purchase and if any of the keyboard warriors had just taken a split second to actually read my original post, I took the time to point out that the wind whistling noise was the only thing about the bronco that I was unhappy with.

I actually thought I was sharing useful information when I discovered what was wrong = causing the whistling wind noise.

That's because Jeep/Ram/Chrysler can not sell vehicles right now and they are literally giving them away.

Inferior product = NO DEMAND.

So glad you got it worked out and you are happy with the Bronco. Wind noise is kinda relative what might be a little wind noise to one person might sound like a wind tunnel to another. The wind noise in our Bronco doesn’t bother my wife one bit, but it bugs me mostly because I know I can fix it just haven’t had the time to mess with it yet since every time it happens I am driving (over 65 mph) . Might have time next weekend to mess with it.
