2 Door vs 4 Door

Has anyone that started with a 2 door bronco and made the switch to a 4 door regretted it?

I really love my 2 door. It's perfect for just me. I love how nimble it is on the trail, able to make tight turns with ease which really helps on some of our Ozark trails. But I know there are obstacles where having a 4 door makes tackling them a little bit easier.

Also, the times I ride with my family (which is like maybe 6 times per year), we're not taking my vehicle since my family can't really crawl in to get in the backseat.

I'm also reminded I have a 2 door every time some new accessory comes out that is only offered for 4 door versions.

I'm basically trying to figure out my next Bronco and whether it would be a 2 door or 4 door. I know I want to upgrade and get a Badlands or another trim where the electronic disconnect is available. Lux package would be a nice to have for the 360 cameras but not absolutely necessary.

Anyone have any thoughts?

We were at a BYOBronco off-rodeo event on Saturday there was an owners group in front of us on an obstacle using the off roadeos’ Broncos. In bothe groups there was about 16 Broncos. 4 of them 2-doors and 12 of them 4-doors. The first part of the obstacle the 2-doors rolled down with no issues and the 4-doors were rubbing belly’s and front skids on the other side the second part of the obstacle was a ~12’ climb on a rock face. Every 4-door rolled right up with little drama, but the 2-doors took multiple resets and adjustments to get up the rock. The only difference in both cases was wheel base.

Very true! I'm no two door purist, but just love they way they look in comparison to the four door. It's just my wife and I, so I thought I wouldn't be needing the extra space, but sometimes would prefer to have it to store my trail gear. The extra wheelbase certainly does have it's benefits on the trail types that I typically run, but it just takes a little more thought and effort to clear some of the taller rock faces that four doors have an easier time with.

If all else fails, just give it some beans!

I don't know if your joking or if ive just been wrong all my life but I keep hearing people say stay bar and not sway bar (i.e. it helps prevent sway, or stabilizer bar cuz it connects both sides of the suspension and helps stabilize the car) why do I keep hearing this?

Its annoying, its either a sway bar or a stabilizer bar.Stay is what you yell at the dog. Sway bar is the accepted term.

Two doors have other benefits, you don't have to check that many more windows and locks.4 doors have weird air flow issues if the front windows are open and the back aren't. 2 doors don't have this problem. 2 doors weigh less and use (waste) less material to produce. I didn't open the rear doors on the four door commuter I drive for over 5 years and only opened to get something I threw in the back AND the biggest reason 2 doors don't yell I'M MARRIED like a four door.

I ordered my Bronco in 2 door because my first bronco was a 2 door we raised two boys and hauled all our camping gear in the back, we tent camped. As a family we explored the logging roads picked blue berries and raspberries. I am alone now and the 2 door is what I wanted. I had my first Bronco in the early 1980s it was an XLT with the 300 cid inline six cylinder 4 speed trans locking hubs, it was our daily driver until my job changed and we need a second car. We hauled our grand kids in Explore's and hauled a 27 ft 5th wheel with a F-150. I miss my first bronco, my wife and my sons and my grandkids. Now I am going to enjoy my bronco when it is delivered and explore more back road and trails.
If it ain't broke keep your damn hand off it. I ain't saying he is dumb but when he shakes his head it sounds like two marbles in a can.
