What’s the latest on this feature. Are they coming off the line with them as expected? I don‘t recall ever seeing this as a factory option. Is it 4 door only? I assume you lose the under floor storage?

They are coming off the line, and are available on certain models/trims (not available on Badlands). It is a 4-door option only and removes the "hump" in the mid-section, creating a flat cargo area. Based on feedback and shared pictures, it does not kill the under floor storage - after sliding out the table you can lift up the cover for under access. I will try to locate the post with shared pictures and report back. The assembly is available from Ford Parts as well - see the following for more details:

Why was this not offered on the badlands?
I still think that Ford should have built the 6G Bronco with a real drop tailgate instead of copying the Jeep configuration!

You don't lose under floor storage. The decklid of the tray lifts up so you can access your floor jack etc.

Update from my original post above: I had my dealer order one ($2,500.) and install. When it arrived it does not come with all the parts needed to install including the top. Without the top I would have a hole where you can see the slide going in and out. Top was another $800 but they still didn't have all the parts to install. This is not a kit and I sent everything back. 😟 If you have it installed at time of build it is only $600.

that is the one thing I want to steal from my Brothers Basesquatch if he ever sells it. It is a solid (well built) piece and easy to use.

I haven’t received my OBX SAS yet and was wondering why this wont fit on SAS equipped rigs?

I believe that Ford was concerned about their target GVWR for that vehicle. So, it’s not an issue of fit but an issue of adding additional weight. I would check with a local dealership to confirm though.

If it would bolt in as described I might be tempted to give it a go…. unless there’s any other reason NOT to put it in (other than the price tag….

Interesting enough I was able to add it to my Wildtrak build so SAS by itself can't be the reason.

Keep in mind it does raise the floor so you will lose your ability to store the doors on board and you lose a little cubic feet of cargo room. It is a nice little unit my brother had it on his Basesquatch, it is all metal so I am sure it weighs a significant amount.

They were first able to be added to orders on certain trim levels and builds starting almost exactly one year ago now, but it was a late ‘22 model year availability, so any build before start of summer wouldn’t have had it from factory.

Mine was built end of September with it (I hope), but I am still awaiting its arrival at the dealership “any day now” since mid-October. Kind of crazy I will get my ‘22 Bronco after thousands of people get their ‘23, but it really should be any day now unless I get bumped for the 12th consecutive week tomorrow. 🤞😿

Surprisingly, I haven’t seen many pics or posts about it in the forums from people who have taken delivery since July, so I feel like can’t be too many of them out there yet. I am pretty pumped for it, as it will be a match made in Heaven with my DeepSleep Overland air mattresses customized for 4 door Bronco.

I feel like storing them on-board will not be an issue, just won’t be able to store them on board the way ford intended. Laying them down instead of standing up will be possible if tie down or create some kind of custom holder so I didn’t let that stop me from ordering from factory along with the on board storage bags.
