My wife and I take ours dogs with us a lot. To work, to the store and on trips. I am looking for a crate solution for my 2 door bronco currently. To say our dogs are part of our life is an understatement.

That being said, there are enough people that do not control or clean up after their dogs, that lead to "no pets". And as someone said earlier, there are places where pets are not good because of the confined area and people may have allergies or worse, have a fear of dogs. And we as pet owners must respect that. Not everyone wants to meet your dog. And on the flip side, I don't like strangers feeding treats or petting without out asking. My dog doesn't need to meet everyone.

Plus, there are times when what we do requires our full attention, like off-rodeo, and my dogs would be a distraction. Conversely, when we want time training our dogs, we do not want distractions unless it is part of the training.

Anyway, you should find a good safe sitter and go and have some fun for yourself. Your furry friend will just be that much more excited to see you.

It is geared toward noobs but it is also geared toward Bronco specific so it is helpful even if you are a seasoned off roader. One of my take aways was a technique for throttle control. Been doing this for awhile (not a noob but not seasoned either) and no one has ever suggested to plant your heal in the floor board and push the outside of your foot to the center consul, to help with control. Also how to use your parking brake correctly, I use mine every time I get out of the vehicle and when parked. but I wasn't engaging it properly, there is an order of operations to do it right.
But it was easy for me, I live 60 miles from BORT we took the Travel trailer up to Marble Falls and spent a few nights in the area. so I had very little travel/lodging expenses I think it was $45 total for the 4 nights. I get that it is not for everyone, and this is not to try and convince you to go, or feel bad about not going. This is simply for others that might be on the fence.

Good points. Also I'm not saying don't go, it just might not be the best use of time and money for everyone. If it was a truly free experience (or $45) I'd be more likely to give it a go.

Love those fold down seats and the extra room for our favorite travel companions. Well done.

Same with our. Lots of space for our dog in the F250. He does have it made back there. Then you have the bed of the truck. Now he's in the back of the Bronco which is great space for the dog so the back seat gets filled when we travel.

We always have the seats up and it is a lot of room for one. For two....running out of space for sure. I was looking for a pic of the 250 with Sarge in the back and no pictures of the truck since the Bronco's... Imagine that.IMG_99999.jpg

I always thought they were mean dogs. One of my instructors in college had one. First time I was around it, it came up to me, put it's front legs on my shoulders and proceeded to wash my face with many licks. Are they considered full ear because you didn't have them cropped? Great looking dogs.

Yes they are not cropped they look totally different with cropped ears. But if you ever pet a Danes ears you would want them to be bigger, super soft.
I would say Danes as a Breed are nice dogs we Foster Danes and of the 50+ Danes we have had we only had one that was mean. Our Blue one (Hondo) is very nervous around new people. But he was a Covid baby and we could not socialize him. The black one (Pi) will give kisses to everyone. He stands about 56” tall top of his head, so you really don’t have to lean over to get kisses. The only thing you have to worry about is their tails they have an amazing ability to knock stuff off tables and whip you in the tender bits if you are not prepared. That and when you pet them they lean 130 to 150lbs can feel heavy when they lean.

Great Danes love to lean. Also, they are great at being very small on a couch for a while, then stretching out to take up the whole thing...
